The 20-year-old Indigenous man from Western Sydney and his 17-year-old Russian-born partner made headlines around the world for their rapid rise through the ranks, starting with Australia’s first gold at an ISU Junior Grand Prix last October, the Junior World title ahead of the fancied Russian teams and 16th place in their first senior World Championships. Following their world-beating debut season, the pair has been training with the top Russian teams in Moscow with their Sydney coach Andrei Pachin, but now it’s time to come home to prepare for the Olympic Qualification Competition in Germany at the end of September. To celebrate their astounding Championship win, and to unveil their Olympic season program, Windsor and Alexandrovskaya will perform in a Celebration Gala at Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink on Saturday, 19 August 2017 at 10.30am. The general public is invited to see Australia’s Junior World Champions and support them in their quest for the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games next February. .
