He kept a blog for icenetwork from the event, his first international competition since the Sochi Winter Olympics. Saturday, Sept. 27 Today was officially the conclusion of the Nebelhorn Trophy. The ladies free skate kicked off the day, and both Mariah Bell and Gracie Gold skated beautiful programs. Mariah finished her first senior event in fifth, and Gracie brought home the bronze for Team USA! The dance event began shortly after the ladies finished. I can't even put into words how breathtaking both Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean­Luc Baker, and Madison Chock and Evan Bates' programs were.     February 6, 2020 Seoul, Korea ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships 2020 Day One Madison Hubbell/Zachary Donohue (USA), Rika Kihira (JPN) and Kirsten Moore-Towers/Michael Marinaro (CAN) took the lead as the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships opened in Seoul (KOR) Thursday with the Rhythm Dance, Pairs and Ladies Short Programs. 100 skaters from 12 ISU members have been entered for this 21th edition of the Four Continents Championships: 25 Men, 21 Ladies, 11 Pair Skating couples and 16 Ice Dance couples. Seoul has hosted the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championship once before in 2015. Hubbell/Donohue (USA) edge Chock/Bates (USA) in Rhythm Dance in Seoul Madison Hubbell/Zachary Donohue (USA) edged teammates Madison Chock/Evan Bates by just 0.19 points in the Rhythm Dance. Canada’s Piper Gilles/Paul Poirier are not far behind in third place. Skating to “My Heart Belongs to Daddy”, Hubbell/Donohue picked up a level four for the twizzles, the straight line lift and the Finnstep Pattern Dance sequence while the Pattern Dance type step sequence and the midline step sequence were rated a level three. The 2019 World bronze medalists achieved a season’s best with 85.95 points. “It’s been a quick turnaround between Nationals and Four Continents. We really wanted to focus on being precise and confident and we feel like we did that today,” Hubbell said. “So our main focus was the mental aspect, staying focused and really putting out a performance that would be competitive here in this field and we accomplished that

    November 24, 2018 Lausanne, SUI ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating 18/19 Internationaux de France, Day Two Favorites Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron (FRA), Nathan Chen (USA) and Vanessa James/Morgan Cipres (FRA) prevailed as competition wrapped up at the Internationaux de France in Grenoble Saturday with the Free Skating and Free Dance. Five skaters grabbed the last available spots for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. The Internationaux de France was the sixth and last event of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series 2018/19. Nathan Chen (USA) rebounds to grab the gold in Grenoble World Champion Nathan Chen (USA) rebounded after a sub-par Short Program to take the gold. Jason Brown (USA) claimed the silver and the bronze went to Russia’s Alexander Samarin. Chen reeled off a quadruple flip, quadruple toe, another quad toe (in combination with an underrotated triple toe) as well as a triple Axel and four triples jumps in his program to “Land of All” by Woodkid. The American picked up a level four for his spins and a level three for his footwork to score 184.64 points. The U.S. Champion totaled 271.58 to win his second Grand Prix gold medal and qualify for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. “I’m pretty happy with my performance of the long program, definitely more satisfied with the long than with the short,” the 19-year-old Yale student said. “I’m looking forward to continuing to develop the program and develop the technical side of the program.” Skating to a Simon and Garfunkel Medley, Brown produced four clean triples, including an Axel and exquisite spins.

    2021 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships January 11-21, 2021 Las Vegas | The Orleans Arena Media Information and Story Ideas The U.S. Figure Skating Championships, held annually since 1914, is the nation’s most prestigious figure skating event. The competition crowns U.S. champions in ladies, men’s, pairs and ice dance at the senior and junior levels. The 2021 U.S. Championships will serve as the final qualifying event prior to selecting and announcing the U.S. World Figure Skating Team that will represent Team USA at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships in Stockholm. The marquee event was relocated from San Jose, California, to Las Vegas late in the fall due to COVID-19 considerations. San Jose meanwhile was awarded the 2023 Toyota U.S. Championships, marking the fourth time that the city will host the event.     ISU JUNIOR GRAND PRIX OF FIGURE SKATING SERIES 2017/18 #JGPFigure Press Release October 16, 2017 Finalists for ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final are determined #JGPFigure Skaters from Australia, Canada, Japan, Russia and the USA have qualified for the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in Nagoya (JPN) in December. The last spots were determined when the series of seven qualifying events concluded in Egna (ITA) last weekend. Alexei Erokhov (RUS) and Alexei Krasnozhon (USA) lead the Men’s standings and claimed two gold medals on the circuit. Camden Pulkinen (USA), Mitsuki Sumoto (JPN), Makar Ignatov (RUS) and Andrew Torgashev (USA) booked their tickets to Nagoya as well. All except Krasnozhon qualified for the first time for the Final. The Russian Junior Ladies dominated the circuit and five of them proceed to the Final: Alexandra Trusova, Sofia Samodurova, Alena Kostornaia, Daria Panenkova and Anastasia Tarakanova. The field is completed by Rika Kihira (JPN), who is the only one to return to the ISU Junior Grand Prix Final. In the Pair Skating, World Junior Champions Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya / Harley Windsor (AUS) and World Junior silver medalists Aleksandra Boikova / Dmitrii Kozlovskii come back to the Junior Final while World Junior bronze medalists Yumeng Gao / Zhong Xie (CHN) made it for the first time. Newcomers are the top qualifiers Daria Pavliuchenko / Denis Khodykin (RUS) and Apollinariia Panfilova / Dmitry Rylov (RUS) while Anastasia Poluianova / Dmitry Sopot (RUS) were in the Final before, but with different partners.
