Zarotis Article History Received: 14.12.2019 Accepted: 24.12.2019 Published: 30.12.2019 Abstract: After analyzing various studies, we can conclude that the elements characterizing an effective school unit are leadership, teachers, and communication among school unit members, the climate of a school unit, school culture, the logistical infrastructure, the school's relationship with the local community, and the administrative system of the educational institution. The ultimate goal of this research is to detect the current organization and administration situation of secondary education units. In particular, to examine the concept of education, the school role and the concept of effective school, to identify the existing model of administration of the educational system, the organization and administration models of the school unit in which the respondents work, and furthermore the school culture level. The method adopted for the study is the classified cluster sampling method. According to this method, clusters are initially defined, which in this case are Secondary School Units. The clusters are then classified according to their characteristics, which in this case was the geographical feature: they all belonged to the North Aegean Region. -

Spatalas Department of Geodesy and Surveying, University of Thessaloniki, Greece Abstract: Based on the results of our studies for the tidal triggering effect on the seismicity of the Hellenic area, we consider the confidence level of earthquake occurrence - tidal period accordance as an index of tectonic stress criticality for earthquake occurrence and we check if the recent increase in the seismic activity at Fthiotida in Greek Mainland indicate faulting maturity for a stronger earthquake. In this paper we present the results of this test. Key words: Earthtides, Seismicity, Hi(stogram)Cum(ulation) method 1. Introduction Applying the Hi(stogram)Cum(ulation) method, which was introduced recently by Cadicheanu, van Ruymbecke and Zhu (2007), we analyze the series of the earthquakes occurred in the last 50 years in seismic active areas of Greece, i.e. the areas (a) of the Mygdonian Basin(Contadakis et al. 2007), (b) of the Ionian Islands (Contadakis et al. 2012), (c) of the Hellenic Arc (Vergos et al. 2012) and (d) Santorini (Contadakis et al. 2013). The result of the analysis for all the areas indicate that the monthly variation of the frequencies of earthquake occurrence is in accordance with the period of the tidal lunar monthly and semi-monthly (Mm and Mf) variations and the same happens with the corresponding daily variations of the frequencies of earthquake occurrence with the diurnal luni-solar (K1) and semidiurnal lunar (M2) tidal variations. -

You should submit your application and required documents at your local Aliens Police (Tmima Allodapon – Τμήμα Αλλοδαπών, for addresses, contact telephone and opening hours see end); if you live outside Athens go to the local police station closest to your residence. In all cases, original documents and photocopies are required. You should approach the Greek Authorities for detailed information on the documents required or further clarification. Please note that some authorities work by appointment and will request that you book an appointment in advance. Required documents in the case of a working person: 1. Valid passport. 2. Two (2) photos. 3. Applicant’s proof of address [a document containing both the applicant’s name and address e.g. photocopy of the house lease, public utility bill (DEH, OTE, EYDAP) or statement from Tax Office (Tax Return)]. If unavailable please see the requirements for hospitality. 4. Photocopy of employment contract. -

A Garrison at Oropos?
A Garrison at Oropos? The primary military function of the Athenian ephebeia in the Lycurgan era (and the likely reason for its existence) was to protect the inhabitants of Attica against small bands of raiders originating from Boeotia. According to the Aristotelian Athenaion Politeia “ephebes patrol the countryside and spend time in the guard-posts (phylakteria)” in the second year of their national service (42.4: περιπολοῦσι τὴν χώραν καὶ διατρίβουσιν ἐν τοῖς φυλακτηρίοις). If the ephebeia was created sometime after Alexander of Macedon’s destruction of Thebes in September 335 BCE, it would mean that the terminus post quem for the regular deployment of a minimum of one phyle of ephebes at these phylakteria was 333/2 BCE (Friend 2019). The epigraphic habit of the ephebes who had garrisoned the defensive infrastructure of Attica in the 330s and 320s BCE, until the probable abolition of the ephebeia after the Lamian War, permits the identification of the Athenaion Politeia’s unnamed “guard-posts”. An analysis of those end of service dedications erected by individual ephebic phylai reveals that the phylakteria would have consisted of fortified demes (Eleusis, Rhamnous, and Oinoe) and of border forts (Phyle and Panactum) situated at the Attic-Boeotian frontier or at the northeastern coast of Attica. Did the ephebes also garrison Oropos after the acquisition of the frontier stronghold from Alexander in 335/4 (rather than from Philip in 338/7), just as in the Peloponnesian War (Thuc. 8.60.1)? Two arguments can be adduced in support of the view that ephebes (and presumably their older compatriots) were responsible for patrolling the Oropia. -

Acknowledgements 81 References 81 Der kreidezeitliche Paläokarst und die känozoische Reliefgeschichte der Nordsporaden (Griechenland): Geomorphologische Befunde und Spaltspurenanalysen Zusammenfassung Die Reliefentwicklung der Magnesischen Inseln (Nordsporaden) wurde anhand geomorphologischer Geländebeobachtungen auf Skopelos und mittels Spaltspurdatierungen an Gesteinen von Skiathos, Skopelos und Alonnisos untersucht. Die gemessenen Spaltspuralter und modellierten Abkühlpfade weisen auf regionale und zeitliche Schwankungen der posteozänen Abtragungsgeschwindigkeiten hin. Zwei präeozäne Generationen von Paläokarst sind auf Skopelos zu beobachten. Die erste entwickelte sich während der Unterkreide auf triadischen Dolomiten des alten pelagonischen Schelfs. Die Bauxite und Laterite, mit denen dieser Palaeokarst versiegelt ist, sind aus verschwemmtem Material der Eohellenischen Decke hervorgegangen. Eine zweite Generation von Paläokarst entwickelte sich auf oberkretazi- schen Rudistenkalken und wurde unter palaeogenem Flysch begraben. Drei Generationen neogener Verflachungen treten auf Skopelos oberhalb von 300 m Seehöhe auf. -
