YIN/INSIGHT 8-DAY TEACHER TRAINING INTENSIVE with SARAH POWERS 60 hours certification with (YA) and/ or Insight Yoga Institute (IYI)

AN INDEPTH EXPLORATION OF YIN/YANG YOGA AND MEDITATION

Course Description This course is intended to deepen one’s understanding of the experiential, philosophical and practical application of yoga and meditation. It is intended for those with at least 2 years of practice or more, and is an essential part of a larger, 500-hour training in Insight Yoga offered through the Insight Yoga Institute (IYI).

This intensive will augment one's ability to teach both a receptive Yin style and an active flow or Yang style of yoga with an interest in promoting a conducive inner environment for meditation. Please come with a basic understanding of the practices, and a strong interest in committing to the further exploration of the contemplative aspects of yoga.

Sunday 18th to Sunday 25th January 2015 11.30am – 5.30pm each day

This 8-day course will be held in the Community Room at the Margaret Whitlam Recreation Centre, Waverly Park, Bondi, Sydney Australia. Arrive at 11am to start at 11.30am. You will be required to bring your own and props. A small amount of storage space is available in the room.

After attending this course and writing a 2-3 page paper, participants will receive a 60-hour certificate of completion which can be used toward Insight Yoga certification with the Insight Yoga Institute and/or Yoga Alliance certification.

Each day will include 2 hours on , 2 hours on Yang Yoga, and 2 hours on Mindfulness Meditation. This 60-hour course is made up of 48 contact hours (6 hours each day for 8 days), plus an additional 12 hours of reading, writing and meditation, including writing a 2-3 page paper based on course content.
