The start of phasing out the restrictions
On May 15, 2020, in the context of a pandemic and online, the Moscow Metro 2 celebrated its 85th anniversary. What measures have been taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19? The automated digital permit control system (The system’s operation was cancelled on June 9, 2020)
On April 15, 2020 a digital permit system was introduced in Moscow to reduce the spread of the disease Selective control of digital permits is introduced – more than 250 inspectors check the digital permits and control the violators using the most modern equipment
On April 22, 2020 the automated permit control system was introduced Travelling by public transport is possible only with Troika and Strelka smart cards or social transport cards, operating in Moscow and the Moscow region The sale of single paper tickets and the bank cards’ usage at turnstiles are temporarily canceled In case of travelling by a private car, its plate number is to be attached to a digital permit
The automatic violating cars’ detection system has been launched in Moscow
The automatic system to detect in real time those cars, which circulate without permits, and to report it to the nearest traffic police posts The technology was developed by the Moscow Traffic Control Center under the Government of Moscow and operates on the basis of more than 2500 photo and video cameras The cameras scan the car stream, define license plates, check the data against the database of license plates associated with digital passes. All this happens automatically and in real time. If an intruder is found, car data is transmitted to the nearest traffic police posts
The Moscow Assistant mobile app entered the Top-12 of the best innovative solutions in the world for fighting against COVID-19
The Moscow Assistant app is listed in the world map, where commercial and state structures that are contributing to the fight against coronavirus. The application received the 12th place out of 704 in the world and the 3rd out of 14 in Moscow. Using the Moscow Assistant app, taxi drivers, employees of the Transport Complex and law enforcement agencies can check for a valid digital pass. Ordinary citizens can also use the Moscow Assistant app to check digital passes before leaving home.

8 Surface transport

On June 9, all restrictions on car sharing have been lifted, cars are disinfected regularly
10 What measures does the Moscow Transport take to protect against COVID-19?
Moscow Transport for employees
100 000 employees of the Moscow Transport were instructed following the decisions of the Mayor, the Government of Moscow, as well as the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being All working areas are regularly disinfected PPE stock is regularly replenished All employees receive masks, gloves, sanitizers and special PPE if required All employees, who work with passengers, daily undergo medical check-up All employees working in passenger zones measure temperature before entering the shifts All Service Centers’ employees measure the temperature daily and are provided with PPE – all the centers were temporarily closed at the pandemic peak
Moscow Transport for business
Rental payments at the Moscow Metro infrastructure are canceled until July 1, 2020 Taxi aggregators are recommended to lower the commission for drivers The Moscow Government assumes up to 6% per annum for loans received before April 15, 2020, and 8% per annum for loans received from April 15, 2020 – it also applies to taxi Preferential prices for parking are applied for car-sharing companies for the lockdown period The support program for the acquisition of new taxi cars and car sharing will become more affordable and subsidies will be issued 2 times faster
11 Moscow Transport for passengers

Since June 12, 2020 all passengers, The refund is available at the Moscow who have not used public transport Metro ticket offices, ticket machines, during the lockdown, can apply for the Mosgortrans kiosks and in the refund. A ticket is considered for a Moscow Metro mobile app refund if there were not more than 22 trips made with this ticket between March 30 – June 8, 2020.
