MOSCOW TRANSPORT FACT SHEET MAY 8, 2020 Transport against the virus What does Moscow transport do against coronavirus? The Presidential Decree introduced a non-working period, and in Moscow it was then generally extended until May 31, 2020 in order to reduce the spread of coronavirus, but Moscow transport will continue its operation. Since May 12, 2020 manufacturing companies are allowed to re-start working subject to all safety measures. From May 12, 2020 all passengers must wear protective masks and gloves to travel by public transport The digital permit system: On April 15, 2020 a digital permit system was introduced in Moscow to reduce the spread of the disease. A citizen must get a digital permit to use any mode of private or public transport, and no permit is required for walking. A digital permit can be issued online or by contacting the dedicated hotline. ● Selective control of digital permits is introduced – more than 250 inspectors check the digital permits and control the violators using the most modern equipment; ● Car-sharing services are temporarily closed to stick to the safety standard; ● More than 2500 cameras will record drivers who violated quarantine; ● All the questions on the prevention of coronavirus in Moscow transport are addressed to the dedicated hotline.
