There’s very little to reflect on from the weekend with just three matches going ahead, one of which was on Sunday due to the plunging temperatures. As one of the only teams to play Cambridge remain top of the tree but they’re now in a catchable position as the teams below swarm and get round to playing games.

It appears the cursed Manager of the Month drew 1-1, but Stevenage couldn’t force an equaliser award has struck, this time giving Cambridge in the remaining 12 minutes and returned south United a stern bolt over the last seven days. empty handed.

After defeat here last Tuesday, the Us’ game Bolton propelled up the table into 13th, and are against Southend United was one of the surviving unbeaten in three now as they eye a second half fixtures at the weekend although for both sides it push for the play-offs, while Stevenage are a was a perhaps forgettable affair, ending 0-0 which few points clear of relegation, but need to keep helped Mark Moseley’s side out more than his scrapping. counterpart Mark Bonner. Clough’s side took the lead early, albeit courtesy of a Tommy Smith own goal. Callum Harriott The lifting of various bans has helped Southend to equalised before half time, and James Perch bring a squad together, and they are unbeaten in restored The Stags’ lead with 10 to go, but Frank two now after four consecutive losses, but they still Nouble equalised for a second time with his first have a lot of work to do if they are to survive. goal since returning on loan from Plymouth Argyle.

Meanwhile at the other end Cambridge are four 11 games now for The Us without a win and they are points clear of second place Forest Green Rovers, in danger of losing touch, maybe consigning this but have played three games more. They are in a season to consolidate their summer change at the good position in that they have the points on the helm, but Mansfield will still fancy they can push on board, but at the same time one point from the last until the end. two games means that the circling teams below can overtake with their games in hand. Port Vale finally have a new man in charge, moving from Walsall on Monday to join The weekend’s second game saw Bolton newly appointed Director of Football . Wanderers host Stevenage for the first time, and The Saddlers have made assistant coach Brian Ian Evatt’s side took an early lead when Declan Dutton the Head Coach until the end of the season. MJ Williams was sent off in the second half and it could have been a Now the cold snap has passed, it’s time for League repeat of the previous week when Bolton took the Two to really ramp up with games every week now lead against Morecambe, went down to 10 men and until the end of the season! 36

TODAY’S OTHER FIXTURES TWO TO WATCH

Bradford City vs Morecambe Forest Green Rovers vs Oldham Athletic

Crawley Town vs Stevenage Latics return to Gloucestershire after the original Forest Green Rovers vs Oldham Athletic game had to be abandoned due to a thick fog descending on the New Lawn mid-match. Both Harrogate Town vs Carlisle United sides have won two of the last three, with Oldham Mansfield Town vs Bolton Wanderers still boasting one of the league’s best away Newport County vs Exeter City records. Our neighbours could do us a favour with a result. Salford City vs Barrow Walsall vs Cheltenham Town Newport County vs Exeter City

An interesting one to keep an eye on just above us as Exeter will be hoping for a third win on the trot when they travel to South Wales. Ideally this will end level peggings and leave it up to ourselves and others to take advantage. Manager Manager Richie Wellens Michael Jolley
