1.2 RP TVB ANNEXE ABT Especes Et Enjeux

Nat. Croat., Vol. 30, No. 1, 37–52, 2021, Zagreb. From 2016 to 2020 numerous surveys were undertaken to improve the knowledge of the pyraloid moth fauna of Biokovo Nature Park. On August 27th, 2020 one specimen of Psorosa mediterranella (Amsel, 1954) from the family Pyralidae was collected on a small meadow (985 m a.s.l.) on Mt Biok- ovo. In this paper, the first data about the occurrence of this species in Croatia are presented. The previ- ous mention in the literature for Croatia was considered to be a misidentification of the past and has thus not been included in the checklist of Croatian pyraloid moth species. P. mediterranella was recorded for the first time in Croatia in recent investigations and, after other additions to the checklist have been counted, is the 396th species in the Croatian pyraloid moth fauna. An overview of the overall pyraloid moth fauna of Croatia is given in the updated species list. Contributo Alla Conoscenza Della Famiglia Crambidae in Romagna (Insecta: Lepidoptera: Crambidae)
Quaderno di Studi e Notizie di Storia Naturale della Romagna Quad. Studi Nat. Abstract [A contribution to knowledge of the Crambidae of Romagna (Insecta: Lepidoptera: Crambidae)] Faunistic data on 126 species of Crambidae (Insecta, Lepidoptera) living in Romagna region (Italy). Crambidae are a family of Microlepitoptera, subdivided into ten subfamilies: Acentropinae, Crambinae, Cybalomiinae, Evergestinae, Glaphyriinae, Odontiinae, Pyraustinae, Schoenobiinae, Scopariinae and Spilomelinae. The first list of the Crambidae of Romagna was published by Pietro Zangheri in 1969. The present paper updates Zangheri’s survey after half a century, by adding 31 species. Introduction and Concluding Remarks are both in Italian and in English. Key words: Lepidoptera, Crambidae, checklist, Romagna, Italy. -

We were exceedingly fortunate to have such good and extended views of a Marsican Brown Bear on the first occasion we went looking! These are truly wild animals, never fed by humans, and any sighting of them or Wolves, which we did not see during the week but found plenty of evidence of in the form of scats, is a bonus. It was a late season, with the area having had a lot of snow and rain. We were very aware of the snow in Val di Rose, where we had good views of Abruzzo Chamois, and carpets of Spring Crocus and Alpine Squill where the snow was starting to melt. The orchids were also just coming into flower, and very fresh, and we saw more than we sometimes do. The unsettled weather meant there were fewer butterflies on the wing, but a fresh Baton Blue, Red-underwing Skippers and large numbers of hill- topping Scarce Swallowtails were a joy. -

This programme of habitat management combined with research, survey and education, is managed by La Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux (LPO, the French Bird Protection League) in partnership with landowners. The conservation contribution this year of £35 per person was supplemented by gift aid through the Honeyguide Wildlife Charitable Trust, bringing the total to £500. -

As on every Honeyguide wildlife holiday, we contributed to a conservation project. The conservation contribution of £40 per person, supplemented by an additional donation and gift aid through the Honeyguide Wildlife Charitable Trust, totalled to £940 for Asociación Zerynthia, a Spanish NGO dedicated to the study and conservation of butterflies. As at July 2019 the total for all conservation contributions through Honeyguide since 1991 is £132,482. 2 DAILY DIARY Monday 17 June: Stansted to Santander, Santander to Boca de Huérgano It was a slightly bumpy but prompt landing at the very compact airport at Santander, which meant we were through passport control and had bags at a speed you could only dream of at most airports. Pau was at the Europcar desk and paperwork was speedily completed so we could walk to the car park across the road to load up the two minibuses. The drive took us west at first before we headed south across quiet and mostly featureless roads, with not a lot a wildlife interest for most of the journey: a sprinkling of black kites and buzzards, the odd corn bunting, a few white storks. -

Brachodes caradjae (Rebel, 1902) is transferred from Brachodidae (Sesioidea) to Titanio Hübner, [1825] (Pyraloidea: Crambidae: Odontiinae). The holotype as well as male and female genita- lia are figured. In this context, we give short insights into the systematics of the Odontiinae and pro- vide the hypothesis, that the diagnostic characters 'structurae squamiformes' and 'structurae lamelliformes' given by Leraut & Luquet (1982) for the Eurrhypini Leraut & Luquet. 1982 can be regarded as synapomorphies of this tribe. Further, we present a possible third synapomorphy for the Eurrhypini, a paired riffled membrane situated ambilateral to the 'structurae squamiformes' of the vincu- lum. -

In the evening he waited for the group, and his supper, at Hôtel le Mont Barral. He knew that on the journey from Valence to Les Nonières the rest of the group would have just made out in the gloaming, the valley of the River Drôme, the lavender fields, the odd raptor, possibly roadside orchids and the rolling countryside of this area of south-east France. Everyone met that night, tired after a day sitting, yet eagerly sat again to a light supper of pâtés, cheeses, salads, brownies and fruit, after which we were all ready for bed and eager for tomorrow.
