PITCHING STAFF CONTINUES TO SHINE: Over the last five games, the pitching staff has given up a combined six runs. On Tuesday in Mankato, Justin Kelly (Utah) gave up one run over six innings pitched. Trevor Koenig (St. Cloud State) hurled two scoreless innings. In the series opener against Willmar on Wednesday, Trent Schoeberl (Minnesota) pitched five innings and gave up one run. Then on Thursday, Luke Albright (Kent State) struck out 12 batters over five innings pitched. He was one strikeout away from tying the single-game Rox record. Zane Mills (Washington State) hurled eight innings and struck out 10 Rox Upcoming Schedule batters on Tuesday while earning Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night. RJ 8/19 @ROC 6:35 Martinez (Minot State) struck out 10 batters over seven scoreless innings on 8/20 WIL 7:05 Monday. HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE IS REAL: The Rox have been terrific at home in 2020. They haven’t lost since July 18th at the Rock Pile and have won 13 consecutive games. The Rox went on a six-game winning streak during its longest homestand of the season last week. St. Cloud is 17-2 at Joe Faber Field, but are just 8-10 when away from home. They return home on Thursday to finish the season.
