Located on the Boise River in southwestern Idaho, the population of Boise is estimated at around 214,237. The Boise-Nampa metropolitan area, also known as the Treasure Valley, includes five counties with a combined population of 664,422, the most populous metropolitan area in Idaho. School Profile In- 2011—2012 Mission LEADERSHIP Salem Academy Charter School is a small sixth through twelfth grade public school designed to educate the city of Salem’s diverse student population. Through a unique integration of college Sean O’Neil, preparatory classes with service to the community, the school graduates informed, articulate, and proactive individuals of strong character. The school opened its Head of School doors to sixth and seventh graders in September 2004, graduated its first class in 2009, and has grown to over 300 students.
