PAUL E. NYE Vice President, Quality Pratt & Whitney

Paul E. Nye, Jr. is Vice President, Quality for Pratt & Whitney. In this role, Paul leads all aspects of quality for Pratt & Whitney globally. He transferred from Collins Aerospace in November 2019 to Pratt & Whitney in the role of Vice President, Module Centers and Supplier Quality. Paul is also the Corporation executive sponsor of Virginia Tech University.

Paul previously served as Collins Aerospace Vice President, Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology where he was responsible for overall advancement of Collins Aerospace operational capabilities globally, which included developing and executing the Collins manufacturing technology roadmap in partnership with Collins Engineering, Pratt & Whitney, and Corporation Corporate; chaired the Advanced Manufacturing council, co-chaired the Digital Operations council, and served as the executive representing United Technologies Corporation on the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG).

Prior to that, Paul served as Vice President of global quality, product integrity, and continuous improvement, which included design, supply chain, manufacturing, customer support, quality management system and regulatory compliance from 2012- 2018. In this role, he led Rockwell Collins’ Product Integrity and Lean Advisory Councils, served as the executive Rockwell Collins representative to the IAQG, and was a member of the United Technologies Corporation Integration Team during the acquisition of Rockwell Collins by UTC.

Prior to joining Rockwell Collins, Paul spent 24 years in engineering, operations, quality and continuous improvement leadership with General Electric (GE), Bell Helicopter and Cessna Aircraft at Textron, as well as time consulting for Gulfstream Aerospace, Jabil Circuit, Johnson Controls and Via Christi Health Systems. While at GE, Nye received his Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt certifications, and the GE Young Engineer of the Year award.

A native of Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, Nye earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.

Paul is a private pilot, member of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), member of American Society for Quality (ASQ), executive member of International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG), Board Member of Linn County Isaak Walton League and past Chairman of the Board for Blue Ridge Christian Camp. Paul is married with three children and three grandchildren.
