Jim Henson Pictures Logo Jim henson pictures logo Continue Logo descriptions of Nicholas Aczel and Jeffrey GrayEditions by CuriousGeorge60 and MuzzarinoBackground: Jim Henson Pictures was a film unit formed on July 21, 1995 as a joint venture between Sony Pictures Entertainment and Jim Henson Company.1st Logo (1997) Alias: Kermit Operator, Kermit The Operator Prototype Logo: Amid the Sunset Sky, we see Kermit the Frog sitting on a large crane. Beneath it is the word Jim Henson in his corporate font with PICTURES in blurry letters underneath. Option: The trailer for Buddy, Kermit and the camera is inside the box with the name of the company outside and under it. FX/SFX: None.Music/Sounds: Trailer Theme Begins. Availability: Both options only appear on the trailers for Buddy.Editor's Note: If you love the Muppets, then you'll love this logo. 2nd logo (June 6, 1997 - October 6, 2000, 2005, 2013) Alias: Kermit Operator II, Sorry! Logo: We zoom in on the camera lens with lasers flying. The camera is controlled by a laughing kermit frog (played by Steve Whitmire) sitting on a large crane stretched into the metallic sky. As the crane moves away from us and Kermit and the crane go into silhouette, the laser writes the text to Jim Henson (in his familiar font) as the word PICTURES in bright metallic letters, given wide by Jim Henson, scales and turns to settle below. When the logo is formed, suddenly the faucet takes a hard drop, particularly the striking Kermit. Excuse me! Heard from the animals (voiced by Frank Oz) from the screen, and then Kermit whispers Hmmm. Shish. Little Things: If you have a stereophonic audio system, you can hear the animals Sorry coming left. Options: There is a version without a tap drop gag. On the 4:3 version of the Muppets movies from space and Elmo's Adventures in Grouchland, the field of view of the camera is displayed in a wide-angle lens. Some trailers containing either a shortened or still logo show a little black on top. Final version: The superimposed closing option has a logo silhouette on a black background. FX/SFX: Excellent effects of CGI, animatronics and Muppet performances. Music/Sounds: A majestic orchestral film score with frogs croaking and crickets chirping at the end. Kermit's laughter is also heard when he appears. The theme was written by Hans zimmer.Music/Sounds Options: There is a version with a tap drop gag, but without sorry. This was seen at Elmo's Adventures in Grouchland. Buddy only had sounds, not music. After 2013 reprints The Great Muppet Caper have only music and sounds, but on alternative language tracks: French and Spanish, they have both music and sound effects. Availability: To date, the version with a tap drop gag is visible only on two films: out of space and Elmo's Adventures in Grouchland (the latter has no sorry), which are both still in print. Current DVD, Blu-ray and Netflix prints, as well as for TV reruns of Muppet Movie, Great Muppet Caper and other Jim Henson classics, as well as on Buddy (the first film with this logo) have a tap-free gag logo. However, VHS releases Muppet Film and the Great Muppet Caperfrom of the 90s contain the Kermit laser logo. The company also produced Good Boy!, but the logo itself never appeared in this film, perhaps because of the film produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, which at the time was not yet associated with Sony until 2005.Editor's Note: It is brilliantly produced and entertaining logo and is a favorite among fans of TheMuppets. Topics for this animeTVLogos page may be plastered by the Disney logo on the latest Muppet Movie DVD/Blu-ray 8 Oct 26 2018, 9:42 AM EDT on AnimeTVLogos Theme started: October 24, 2018, 8:53 PM EDT Watch I recently learned that Disney has just come out with an Muppet movie: Almost a 35th anniversary edition and given that they have every right to this movie I wouldn't be surprised if they plastered their logo over it. Show the last answer Last answer Last answer: RE: May be Plastered Disney Logo On the latest Muppet Movie DVD / Blu-ray By: AnimeTVLogos, October 26, 2018, 9:42 AM EDT on the other hand, Blu-ray is not new, it has been available since 2013Ywa's right. :/ What made me do this thread in the first place was that I saw a video that just came out this week saying it's available now, so I just assumed it was new. It doesn't make sense to come out this year anyway given the film turns 40 next year. I had to do more research, it probably has the JHP logo and I'm blocking this topic because it's been decided. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you think it's valuable? And you? Somer Hampson Is Something Confusing. 3 April 6 2017, 10:20 AM EDT on SomerHimpson Thread started: April 5 2017, 2:36 PM EDT Watch this says Jim Henson Pictures produced By Little Einsteins: Our Huge Adventure and Planet 51. I doubt it's true. Any other thoughts? Show the last answer Last answer: RE: Something confusing. By: SomerHimpson, Apr 6 2017, 10:20 AM EDT This is probably false information. Wikipedia had deceived us before when someone had put on the Cinar page that there was rarely seen a 1981 Grid logo that actually turned out never existed. Yes, plus JHP is a joint venture between the Jim Henson company and Sony, so I don't know why a little Einstein movie would be produced by them if this franchise is owned by Disney. In addition, JHP produced films with Colombia, and Planet 51 is distributed by TriStar. 10 out of 10 found this valuable. Do you think Valuable? And you? Nick/20thCenturyFox Grainy quality and and alias curve artifacts and other strange ones. 16 January 11 2017, 9:44 PM EST on matt4723 The theme has begun: January 1 2017, 7:36 AM EST Watch On Me, even Disney prints with this logo still seems really grainy, has some dirt and telesine vibrations. Do you think that for the Muppet movie and the Great Muppet Caper, Disney only had access to Sony Masters or did they use new translations from Sony prints, or did Disney use Sony logos (this is the Jim Henson Pictures logo) on its masters? I know we many don't get Associated Film Distributors or any other on new Disney prints, but it's kind of weird to have a Sony logo out there with no Sony releases. Has anyone compared Sony and Disney releases to both two titles yet? Any CLG proof logos collected from CTHV, CTHE, SPHE and WDSHE releases at the same time? In addition, the logo seems replete with strange artifacts on curved lines like the pixel aliasing-ness that's stuck on the film (35mm logo print) and it's pretty bland, but that could be due to the computer power of the time. The 1994 Fox logo, even the early ones on the film were clearer than that! So yes, Disney's prints seem to be pretty... Weird. Not as Touchstone is weird when it comes to Columbia Pictures stuff, but as weirdest as ever to imagine. Yes, Disney-owned Muppets in the mid-2000s, we get it, and Fox Television Studios on Disney DVD (because Touchstone is about that mid-2000s Muppets Muppets The Wizard of Oz thing) as strange as this, but, a bit... Yes. Also, was Buddy (1997) ever released in widescreen mode on home video? Ld? demo tape? Oscar tape? Dvd? Foreign BD? Who knows. We just have a pot and scan the VHS version of the JHP logo area for know-know. This is an area because it's more enlarged compared to the flat/spherical one that the Muppets are from space, Elmo's Grouchland and Disney prints the Muppets and the Great Muppets-Caper use. Take a look at the text, it's like the difference between the flat and the scope of the 1981 Columbia logos, the flat and scope of the 1993 Columbia logos, and the big and small News Corp. bylines on the 1997-ish Fox Searchlight logo. • ZODIAC Final Prodnotes
1 PRODUCTION NOTES “… I shall no longer announce to anyone when I commit my murders, they shall look like routine robberies, killings of anger and a few fake accidents, etc…” Letter 7 - November 9, 1969 It is the ultimate cold case. The rampage of a madman who has never been caught; the elusive cipher slayer who gripped the nation in fear, America’s very own Jack the Ripper. He publicly claimed 13 victims, then more, two dozen more. Police pinned him with seven, five dead. The true body count may never be known. One thing is certain: That count includes the living. Based on the true story of a serial killer who terrified the San Francisco Bay Area and taunted authorities in four jurisdictions with his ciphers and letters for decades, “Zodiac” is a thriller from David Fincher, director of “Se7en” and “Fight Club.” Hunting down the hunter would become an obsession for four men, an obsession that would turn them into ghosts of their former selves, their lives built and destroyed by the killer’s endless trail of clues. Of the four, Robert Graysmith (Jake Gyllenhaal) was the wild card. A shy editorial cartoonist, Graysmith didn’t have the cache and expertise of his seasoned and cynical colleague Paul Avery (Robert Downey Jr.), the San Francisco Chronicle’s star crime reporter. He didn’t have Avery’s connections with San Francisco Police Department’s celebrated and ambitious Homicide 2 Inspector David Toschi (Mark Ruffalo) and his low-key, meticulous partner Inspector William Armstrong (Anthony Edwards). What he did have was a crucial insight no one anticipated.
