I’d like to express my personal thanks and bon voyage to Public Works Director Earnie Via who is retiring this month. The fourth annual celebration of all things canine, our Paws in the Park Kennesaw event hosted by Keep Kennesaw Beautiful, takes place at Swift-Cantrell Park from 9 am – noon on Saturday, September 19. On Saturday, September 26, choose from several interesting activities – Worldwide Day of Play at Swift-Cantrell Park, the Volcom Am Contest at Kennesaw Skatepark, the fall plant sale and butterfly release at Smith-Gilbert Gardens, Smithsonian Free Day at the Southern Museum, and the DEA’s prescription drug “Take Back” initiative hosted by the Kennesaw Police Department at the CVS pharmacy at 2782 Cobb Parkway.
