Jagan Mohan Reddy YSR Congress 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections were held in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on April 11, 2019 to create the fifteenth Legislative Assembly in the state. They were held in parallel with india's general election in 2019. The main contenders were YSR Congress party leader J. S. Jaganmohan Reddy, Chief Minister of the Telugu Party Desam N. Chandrababu Naidu and Jan Sen's party leader Paman Kalyan with his alliance between the Communist Party of India, the Communist Party of India (Marxist), the Bahujan Samaj Party. Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy's YSR Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy party won the election, winning 151 seats out of 175 seats, securing almost 86% in the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh State. Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy, leader of the YSR Congress party was unanimously voted as legislative leader of the YSR Congress party, and was invited to form a government by the military of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, E. S. L. Narasimhan. It was the second assembly in TheRah Pradesh after the bifurcation of the state in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The previous assembly in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly in 2014 The Telugu Desam party, led by former Chief Minister and Opposition Leader N. Chandrababu Naidu, allied with Jan Sen's party (led by leader Pawan Kalyan) and the Bharatiya Janata Party, became the largest party. With the 88 seats needed to win a majority, the alliance won 103 of the 175 seats available. Mr. Naidu was invited to form a government within the fourteenth Assembly of andhra Pradesh of the then Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, E.S. L. Narasimhana. It was the first assembly in Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation of the state in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Von Y S Jaganmohan Reddy launched his 3,648-kilometer Praja Sankalpa Yatra on November 6, 2017. In this Padayatra, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy launched an attack on the failed promises and corruption of the ruling telugu Desam party. It covered more than 130 of the state's 175 constituencies, from YSR Ghat in Idapulapaya in Kadap to Ichapurama in Krikakulam. During his Padayatra, he spoke at 124 public meetings. Meanwhile, Jana Sen's party leader Paman Kalyan made corruption charges against TDP and Andhra Minister Nara Lokesh, son of CM Chandrababu Naidu and BJP for injustice intended for the AP in special category status, and broke the alliance. Puzzled by criticism from its ally, the ruling Telugu Desam (TDP) party has independently contested the 2019 assembly elections. In March 2018, the TDP also withdrew from the National Democratic Alliance following disputes between the TDP and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over misuse of funds. This led to competition between the parties of Jan Sen, Telugu Desam and the YSR Congress. A few weeks later, the BJP announced that they would contest in all 175 state congressional districts.
