General Philosophy We believe that Stanford wrestlers should dare to “have it all.” This is one of the main reasons they choose Stanford: it offers the best of everything. We are committed to the idea that a student can achieve the highest goals in the classroom, while also becoming a Conference Champion, All-American, and National Champion. If that isn’t enough, we believe that our wrestlers should also soak up all of the other “good stuff” that comes with the complete college experience. To do all of this, a Stanford student-athlete must be very disciplined, hardworking and motivated. These are values we look for in potential team members and strive to instill in our wrestlers. Wrestling Achievement We believe that good students make good athletes. Having high standards is a help, not a hindrance.
