The event gets underway at 10 a.m. CT on Saturday, with the preliminary, quarterfinal, semifinal and wrestleback matches taking place in Sessions I and II. • Consolation semifinals and seventh-place matches get underway at noon on Sunday, while first-, third- and fifth-place matches begin at 3 p.m. BTN Plus will provide live streaming coverage of Sessions I, II and III, while the championship MEDIA INFORMATION rounds will be carried live on BTN. The Big Ten Academic Alliance is an academic consortium of all 14 Big Ten universities, which is widely considered to be the model for effective and voluntary collaboration among top research universities. 2019 BIG TEN WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2 BIG TEN WRESTLING PRE-SEEDS The Big Ten Conference announced the preliminary seeds for the 2019 Big Ten Wrestling Championships, which are set for March 9-10 at Minnesota. Seven schools boast at least one top- seeded wrestler, with Penn State leading the way with four No. 1 seeds. Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio State and Penn State will bring a seeded wrestler in each of the 10 weight classes, while Nebraska and Northwestern boast a seeded grappler in nine classes. The pre-seeds, as voted on by the conference’s coaches, rank the top eight wrestlers in three weight classes, along with all 14 starters in seven weight classes due to the Big Ten receiving nine or more NCAA Championships qualifier allocations in those classes.
