Ways to Serve in the Catholic Community of the East End of Pittsburgh

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a way for young children to hear the readings in a way that is meaningful to them, and to talk about the scriptures, appropriate to their age and developmental abilities.

St. Bede Children's Liturgy of the Word during the 11 am Mass on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays will re- sume on October 6. To maintain this important Minis- try, we need more help.

First, we need a few additional facilitators for the younger children, 5 years and under. Lessons and materials are already prepared, and current facilitators will coach and support any new volunteers.

Second, a flexible opportunity to volunteer is available for a family or individual looking for a service activity, St. Charle Lwanga Statue or a teen who needs service hours - it's simply printing in St. James Church off the Children's Bulletins, copying them, and placing them in the vestibule weekly before the Saturday vigil Mass.
