DAY 2: STAGE 1 - GIRONA / TOSSA DE MAR / LLAFRANC
The first stage of the Gourmet Costa Brava Pirineos Cycling Tour starts from the doors of the Hotel Llegendes de Girona (the Legends of Girona). From there we steer to the heart of the Costa Brava. We will cycle by Llagostera with its magnificent gothic church of the XV century. Upon reaching the coastline we will follow it, passing through Sant Feliu de Guí- xols, Platja d’Aro and Palamós, till Llafranc, a beautiful village on the seaside, where we will accommodate at the enchanting el Far de Sant Sebastian hotel (the Lighthouse of San Sebastian). Dinner in a Michelin star restaurant.

The second stage starts in Llafranc. Keeping track of the roads close to the seaside we will arrive to Pals, a small town of great beauty. From this point we will leave the cost behind and continue our journey through the magnificent valley of Emporda, passing by Torroella de Montgri and Escala, arriving to the Castello d’Empuries, from where we start the ascent to the Cap de Creus. We will arrive to Port de la Selva, the authentic fishermen village. Fina- lly, the stage will finish in Cadaques, the emblematic town, a regular retreat of Salvador Dali. We will be accommodated at Tramuntana hotel. Dinner in a local restaurant.

The third stage of the Gourmet Costa Brava Pirineos Cycling Tour starts in Cadaques going up to the Pass of Perafita and then performs a long descent until it reaches the city of Figueres, the capital of Alt Emporda. We will leave it behind and start the ascent to the sanctuary of Mare de Déu del Mont, on the top of the mountain. The track continues until the city of Olot, where the stage ends. But before, we will pass Besalú, a little medieval town with its well-known magnificent Romanesque bridge. Accommodation at Les Cols hotel. Dinner in a Michelin star restaurant.

The last stage but one of our adventure, the longest one (115 km) and with the most eleva- tion gain (1800 m). It starts in the charming cozy country Mas La Ferreria in la Vall de Bianya, then performs a circular trip, passes through Camprodon, Beget and Oix and comes to Castellfollit de la Roca, a village located on the top of an impressive basaltic rock. The last passage of this stage goes past Santa Pau and Sant Miquel de Campmajor, ancient villages situated in the heart of the Garrotxa Natural Volcanic Park until its end in Banyo- les, a town with a superb natural attractiveness due to the famous lake and the surroun- ding nature. The last stage of Gourmet Costa Brava Pyrenees Cycling Tour departs from Banyoles. We will pass by a number of small villages of the Pla de l’Estany region, Fontcoberta, Cres- pià and Orfes. We will cross the Alt Empordà region until Flaça, from where we will start the upward motion to the Gavarres Mountain Range. On the other side of the range, we will see the city of Girona, where we will finish the last stage and the whole Gourmet Costa Brava Pyrenees Cycling Tour. Accommodation at Llegendes de Girona hotel (Girona legends hotel). Dinner in a Michelin star restaurant.
