Traffic and Mobility Plan for the Capital Region of Denmark A better framework for a coherent everyday life This Traffic and Mobility Plan focuses on enhancing mobility for all citizens and commuters travelling in the Capital Region of Denmark at times when congestion is worst and pressure on the region’s infrastructure is highest. The plan provides an overview and an understanding of the transport challenges in the capital region. Through analysis and debate with key players the plan identifies strategic development themes and initiatives to address increasing congestion and create a coherent transport system. The plan's initiatives will help create the conditions for a more streamlined experience of public transport by reducing time wasted in the transport system and by contributing to a green transition of public transport. 20% more trips in 2035 Due to significant population growth in the capital region the transport network should be able to handle 20% more trips in 2035 which puts pressure on the entire transport system. Forecasts predict that car drivers in the capital region will waste 33.4 million hours in 2035 due to congestion and it is not possible to resolve this solely by expanding the road network. A holistic approach The needs for mobility and options available vary over the region’s different geographical areas and given high commuting rates – both within and to and from surrounding regions – there must be more options available to ensure effective mobility across the entire region. This calls for a holistic and cross-cutting approach to traffic planning based on people’s individual travel needs and the possibility to choose and combine freely between different modes of transport. -

In total, more than 57 million passengers took the metro, which was over 1 million passengers more than in 2014. 2015 was also characterised by the adverse aspects of the implementation of major infrastructure im- provement projects. We completed the installation of platform doors at the many overground metro stations. The major construction projects at Nørreport were also completed, so that passengers can now transfer easily and effectively between bus, train and metro at Denmarkʼs largest traffic hub. The platform doors at all metro stations ensure pas- sengers even more stable operation, more departures during rush-hour periods, and stations that offer better shelter from the wind and adverse weather conditions. -

What is a CPR number? • A CPR number is a personal identification. The CPR number consists of ten digits – the first six digits are your date of birth and the last four are your unique identification number. Why do you need a CPR number? • You are legally required to have a CPR number when you are residing in Denmark (for more than 3 months). • Almost all public authorities in Denmark use the CPR registry system to avoid duplicate registration and to secure a person’s identity. • You can use your CPR number in many situations: • To open a Danish bank account • When you are at the doctor (the yellow health insurance card) • Danish phone number • Travel card (rejsekort) NB! You shouldn’t hand out your CPR number to everyone. 2 2 0 . 0 8 . How to get the CPR number • You must have a Residence Permit (Non EU students) or an EU Residence Document (EU students) in order to receive the Danish CPR number • EU students can apply for their CPR number online through this link: : https://kkih-prod-mob.f2- cloud.com/SelfService/submission/submit/ICS_AFC but must bring the document on the day of registration in International House Copenhagen. • EU students have to book an appointment with the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) to get the residence document. It is a great pleasure for me to present the programme of the 13th InformNorden The theme of the conference is “making order out of chaos”. Making order involves international IT conference. The event will for the first time take place in Malmö, a for example better traffic information to customers, interoperability for travel cards, city with so many interesting things to offer besides the actual conference. This year new mobile solutions using GPS for navigation, easier payment services, multi- public transport in Malmö and Scania will really get a big boost with the help of the modal travel planners and using more open information sources (Open API). “Citytunnel” for the trains under central Malmö and the introduction of new modern I hope you will find both the conference programme and Malmö so exciting that local trains, Pågatågen in Scania.
