The East Coast Eagles were formed in 2000. At the 2007 AGM, a revised East Coast Eagles Constitution was adopted which varied the qualification terms.     MEDIA RELEASE - AFL (NSW/ACT) Wednesday, April 2 Henson Park to host five Sydney AFL matches this Saturday With the celebrations for 150 years of Australian Football underway, Sydney AFL will be creating some history of its own this weekend, with an entire round of senior football scheduled over one day at Henson Park for the season opener. This Saturday, footy fans will be treated to over 12 hours of Australian Football action, with all five Round One matches of the Sydney AFL taking place at the newly renovated facility. Henson Park, home of the Newtown Jets, has recently undergone a $250,000 upgrade, and this will be the first opportunity for Sydney AFL to take centre stage at the refurbished ground. Garry Burkinshaw, Senior Football Operations Coordinator for AFL (NSW/ACT) said that this was an exciting milestone for the Sydney AFL competition and signaled the leagues continued development as a premier sporting competition. “This is an important year for Australian Football across all levels of competition and Sydney AFL is no exception. As a competition the standard and support is growing rapidly and being able to provide fans with an entire day and night of Australian Football is a fantastic opportunity. “It is also the perfect platform to showcase some of the emerging talent coming through. Fans will be able to see the next generation of AFL stars in action with many of the NSW Rams players taking part in matches, along with some of the AFL Scholarship holders,” said Burkinshaw.     Redland Football Club Recruiting Package 2012 “See the Bombers fly up” www.redland.aflq.com.au A Brief History The Redland Bombers entered the new millennium with a position in the premier competition of Australian Rules football in Queensland – AFL Queensland‟s State League. This elevation came after consecutive premierships in the Brisbane Australian Football League in 1998 and 1999. Since the Club‟s inception into the State League, the Bombers have evolved into a prominent football identity within both the Redland Shire and South-East Queensland. The ongoing development of local players competing at higher levels all across Australia highlights the talent of young and up- and-coming players within the local community. The Club now competes in the newly formed NEAFL competition, which was launched in 2011 and includes teams from the Queensland State League, the Northern Territory, the AFL NSW/ACT State League, as well as the four northern AFL sides – Brisbane Lions, Gold Coast Suns, Sydney Swans and Greater Western Sydney Giants. The Sharks Sporting Club The Victoria Point Sharks Sporting Club Inc. is the parent body of the Redland Bombers Australian Football Club. The Sporting Club currently has a membership base of over 10,000 members, with this figure growing at a rapid rate. The Sporting Club assists the Football Club in terms of resources and funding. The Sporting Club consists of a gaming lounge, restaurant, three bars, a Sportsmen‟s bar with TAB facilities, a courtesy bus for members, a bottle shop, a lounge featuring free live entertainment, and a new state of the art multi-million dollar function room.

    Grand Final— September 27, 2015 MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER As another football season draws to a close, the final day of competition has ar- rived for AFL Sydney with Premier Division Finals here at Henson Park. In an extraordinary result, seven different clubs have won premierships so far, capping off another fantastic season in Sydney’s premier AFL competition. It’s been an exciting year of football for everyone, and well done to those who still remain at the business end of the season. Each year we see AFL Sydney evolve and improve, and we are committed to ensuring that the competi- tion remains a high quality league at the fore of our football community here in NSW/ACT. Our repre- sentative football program was a highlight this year - which included the women’s team both taking on AFL Canberra at Blacktown International Sportspark. We’ve seen six Premierships already decided for 2015; congratulations to all the clubs involved, in par- ticular to the winners of the Women’s Division 1 – Newtown. It was a fantastic weekend of football out at Blacktown, and all the clubs who were involved should be commended for the quality of the matches and the way they were conducted. Congratulations to UTS (Division Five), Wollondilly (Division Four), Sydney University (Division Three) and Blacktown (Division Two) who claimed titles over UNSW/ES, Macquarie University, UTS and Cam- den respectively. Today looks to be another fantastic day of football, and the Premier Division Grand Final between East Coast Eagles, who are in their first year back in AFL Sydney and Pennant Hills, who are making their third consecutive appearance on grand final day, will no doubt be an exciting contest.
