Moliseide.Pdf GIOSE RIMANELLI è Professore Emerito di Italiano e di Letteratura Comparata all 'Università di S.U.N.Y a Albany e Ricercatore Associato alla Susquehanna University. É nato il 28 novembre 1926 a Casacalenda (Molise). Raggiunse fama internazionale con alcuni suoi romanzi degli Anni Cinquanta, fra i quali Tiro al piccione (1953) (ristampato da Einaudi, 1991,), Peccato originale (1954), Biglietto di terza (1958), Una posizione sociale (1959). Vanno anche segnalati Graffiti (1977) e Molise Molise (1979). All'attività narrativa ha unito quella della poesia, giornalismo, teatro e critica letteraria. Di particolare interesse sono Il mestiere del furbo (1959), The in Casa Picasso (1961), Lares (1962), Il corno francese (1962), Modern Canadian Stories (1966), Tragica America (1968), Italian Literature: Roots & Branches (1976). I suoi libri di poesia includono Carmina blabla (1967), Monaci d'amore medievali (1967), Poems Make Pictures Pictures Make Poems (1971), Arcano (1990). É musicologo e pittore. GIOSE RIMANELLI is Professor Emeritus of Italian and Comparative Literature at S.U.N.Y. at Albany and Distinguished Research Associate at Susquehanna University. He was born November 28, 1926, in Casacalenda (Molise), Italy. He achieved international fame with some of his novels in the fifties, among which Tiro al piccione (1953) (reprinted by Einaudi, 1991), Peccato originale (1954), Biglietto di terza (1958), Una posizione sociale (1959). Also to be noted are Graffiti (1977) and Molise Molise (1979). To narrative he has added poetry, journalism, theater and literary criticism. Of particular interest are Il mestiere del furbo (1959), The in Casa Picasso (1961), Lares (1962), Il corno francese (1962), Modern Canadian Sto- ries (1966), Tragica America 1968), Italian Literature, Roots & Branches (1976). His books of poetry include Carmina Blabla (1967), Monaci d'amore medievali (1967), Poems Make Pictures Pictures Make Poems (1971), Arcano (1990). He is a musicologist and painter. LUIGI BONAFFINI è nato ad Isernia (Molise) e vive ed insegna negli Stati Uniti. Ha scritto, tra l'altro, su Dino Campana, Eugenio Cirese e Giuseppe Jovine, ed ha tradotto in inglese numerosi poeti italiani e stranieri, tra cui Campana, Luzi e Sereni, e diversi poeti dialettali, quali Pierro, Cirese e Jovine. Di prossima pubblicazione sono una sua antologia di poeti dialettali del Molise e un'antologia di poeti dialettali dell'Italia Meridionale. LUIGI BONAFFINI was born in Isernia (Italy) and lives and teaches in the United States. He has written on Dino Campana, Eugenio Cirese and Giuseppe Jovine among others, and has translated into English numerous Italian and foreign poets, among whom Campana, Luzi and Sereni, and several dialect poets, such as Pierro, Cirese and Jovine. Forthcoming are an anthology of dialect poets from Molise and an anthology of dialect poets from Southern Italy. The opening up of hyper-rural Molise After the armies had passed through Molise, on the morrow of the end of World War II, Molisans’ main preoccupation was not leaving their land and looking for better job and life prospects abroad. There were more immediate concerns, such as the return of prisoners, the high cost of living, rebuilding bombed towns, restoring roads and railways, restoring the water and electricity supply, and finding raw materials for artisanal activities. The recovery of the area was thus seen in a rather narrow perspective, as the healing of the wounds inflicted by the war to local society and the productive infrastructure, or, at most, as a reinforcement and development of traditional activities. The only sector where this perspective broadened was that of interregional transportation. The hope was to overcome the isolation of the region, although as a long-term project. When one peruses the local pages of the more or less politically engaged newspapers and journals that appeared with the return of democracy, and when one looks at institutional activities, especially those of the Consiglio provinciale di Campobasso, one is even surprised by the paucity and belatedness of references to the theme of emigration, deeply rooted as it is in the social conditions and culture of the Molisans.1 For example, one has to wait until 1949 for a report from Agnone, one of the historical epicenters of Molisan migration, to appear in the newspaper Il Messaggero.2 The report 1 For an overview of the phenomenon of migration in the history of the region, see Ricciarda Simoncelli, Il Molise.

La seconda parte del nome si presenta nei documenti in forma singolare e plurale: -buttonis e -butinorum; -de butono e -de butonis; Ripabottone e Ripalibottuni. Il suo etimo è incerto. Deriva forse da un nome di persona e, nella forma più antica (de Brittonis) registrata nel Catalogo dei Normanni, può cogliersi un richiamo all'etnico bretone, pur se va rilevato che l'edizione critica del documento suggerisce di correggere la lettura del passo: de buttonis e non de brittonis. L'aggiunta potrebbe infine, come la prima parte del nome, riflettere a sua volta lo stato del luogo: richiamarsi cioè alla Dettagli dell’Area Sosta parola italiana "bottini" nel significato di "fosso" e, per suo tramite, ad un grecismo dal greco "bothinos". Nata nel 1993 nei pressi del convento di Sant'Onofrio (patrono del paese) è gestita dalla LIPU (Lega Italiana Protezione Uccelli). Percorrendo i sentieri dell'Oasi, anticamente usati dai boscaioli per il trasporto del legname, è possibile ammirare una gran varietà di piante LUOGHI DA VISITARE tipiche del sottobosco ed incontrare diversi animali. Nel pieno della primavera l'Oasi si presenta come un vasto tappeto di fiori: dalle comuni Primule all'Anemone degli All'interno del palazzo comunale, in Appennini, dal Narciso dei poeti alle orchidee. La primavera è anche il momento migliore Corso Roma n.78, sono ospitati il per poter osservare le farfalle che popolano i sentieri e le radure con i loro brillanti colori. I Museo multimediale del Bufù rapaci enumerano specie interessanti come il Pecchiaiolo, il Lodolaio, il Nibbio reale e (strumento musicale della l'Albanella reale. La presenza delle sorgenti, di ruscelli, di pozze permanenti e di una tradizione contadina) e la Galleria palude hanno favorito la presenza di diverse specie di Anfibi tra cui è da segnalare la Civica d'Arte Contemporanea Salamandrina dagli occhiali che occupa il suo estremo areale orientale, il Tritone italiano dedicata allo scultore Franco la Rana di Berger e la Raganella. L’antica Kalene romana presenta il nucleo più antico nel Libertucci.
