** Note 2: This is the first ITC since the decision was taken regarding Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) recognition. One of the eligibility requirements of CIMA members (holding the ACMA or FCMA designation) wishing to obtain the CA(SA) designation is passing the ITC. These CIMA members will be exempt from the requirement to complete a CTA in order to gain access to the ITC. CIMA members who enter for the exam without a CTA will be permitted two attempts at the ITC over two calendar years, after which they will be required to complete a CTA at an accredited university before being eligible to write again. ** Note 3: University of Limpopo obtained full accreditation of their CTA in 2017.
