They also made efforts to stay socially distant by connecting with family and friends from afar and turning to the internet for entertainment while spending more time at home. An internet connection and sufficient data were critical to supporting a new way of daily life and the Nsight family of companies quickly pivoted to meet customer needs.

Cellcom and Nsight Telservices committed over million $2.7 to provide connectivity during the pandemic

Cellcom added 5GB of high-speed data to most plans for the months of April and May. The additional high-speed data allowed customers to use wireless connectivity more freely while they adjusted their routines. Nsight Telservices offered two months of free internet service for new customers to help them meet the needs related to virtual schooling and remote working. This allowed people who may have gone without a home connection the opportunity to adapt to the changing circumstances without financial barriers. The commitment to keep everyone connected during the pandemic was valued at over $2.7 million.

With the anticipated economic impact of the pandemic, Cellcom and Nsight Telservices joined the Keep Americans Connected Pledge. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) created the pledge to ensure the nation had reliable broadband and telephone connectivity during the COVID-19 outbreak. Cellcom and Nsight Telservices agreed to not terminate service of any residential or small business customers because of their inability to pay their bills due to disruptions caused by the coronavirus and late fees were waived.

Customers were grateful for the effort and appreciated the support amid the uncertainty of the pandemic. BROWN COUNTY UNITED WAY supported a local neighborhood literacy program at NAVARINO NEIGHBORHOOD (socially distanced) Extending Employee Efforts and Impact

Seniors may not have gotten to walk across the stage, but they gained perspective and resilience that will serve them well in the future.

To assist students pursuing secondary education, Nsight awarded scholarships to high school seniors throughout its service area. With traditional scholarship banquets on hold, Nsight hit the road for porch-side visits with each of its scholarship recipients. In addition to a financial boost for their future, students enjoyed a memorable surprise to close out their high school careers.

Cellcom offers a cell phone recycling program where customers can bring in their old or unwanted phones to be reused and recycled. These phones are sent to recyclers who pay Cellcom for the materials that were saved from the phones.
