44 * PAPAVERACEAE 1 Dennis I Morris 2 Annual or perennial herbs, rarely shrubs, with latex generally present in tubes or sacs throughout the plants. Leaves alternate, exstipulate, entire or more often deeply lobed. Flowers often showy, solitary at the ends of the main and lateral branches, bisexual, actinomorphic, receptacle hypogynous or perigynous. Sepals 2–3(4), free or joined, caducous. Petals (0–)4–6(–12), free, imbricate and often crumpled in the bud. Stamens usually numerous, whorled. Carpels 2-many, joined, usually unilocular, with parietal placentae which project towards the centre and sometimes divide the ovary into several chambers, ovules numerous. Fruit usually a capsule opening by valves or pores. Seeds small with crested or small raphe or with aril, with endosperm. A family of about 25 genera and 200 species; cosmopolitan with the majority of species found in the temperate and subtropical regions of the northern hemisphere. 6 genera and 15 species naturalized in Australia; 4 genera and 9 species in Tasmania. Papaveraceae are placed in the Ranunculales. Fumariaceae (mostly temperate N Hemisphere, S Africa) and Pteridophyllaceae (Japan) are included in Papaveraceae by some authors: here they are retained as separate families (see Walsh & Norton 2007; Stevens 2007; & references cited therein). The Significance of Opium Alkaloids in the Classification of Papaveraceae

Noor Almousawi Department of Pharmacognosy Ula M. Noor Almousawi and Abdulrida A Alwan and medicinal plants, Pharmacy College, University of Basra, Iraq. Abstract The Papaveraceae family includes over 40 genera and 760 species in the world, of that 5 genera, namely Abdulrida A Alwan Papaver L. with 15 species, Glaucium Mill with 5 species, Hypecoum L. with 3 species, Roemeria Medic Department of Ecology, College with 2 species and Eschscholzia Cham with one cultivated species occur in Iraq. Opium alkaloids of 14 of Science, University of Basra, species of Papaveraceae in addition to two species of Fumaria L. were chemically studied using High Iraq. Performance liquid Chromatography (HPLC) analysis. Five opium alkaloids, Morphine, Codeine, Thebaine, Papaverine and Noscapine were significantly detected and variably distributed in the species. The highest concentration of opium alkaloids was Noscapine with 814.624 ppm in P. somniferum while the lowest concentration was codeine with 66.978 ppm in the same species. Our results support maintaining Fumaria in distinct family Fumariaceae. Keywords: significance, opium alkaloids, classification, Papaveraceae, Iraq 1. Introduction The Papaveraceae, known as a poppy family, are economically important. It includes over 40 [2] genera and 760 species in the world, as mentioned by Cullen (1980) 5 genera present in Iraq for Papaveraceae and 2 genera for Fumariaceae. Na osnovu člana 191. Zakona o vodama („Službeni glasnik RS”, br. 30/10, 93/12 i 101/16) i člana 42. stav 1. Zakona o Vladi („Službeni glasnik RS”, br. 55/05, 71/05 – ispravka, 101/07, 65/08, 16/11, 68/12 – US, 72/12, 7/14 – US i 44/14), Vlada donosi UREDBU o visini naknada za vode "Službeni glasnik RS", broj 14 od 23. februara 2018. 1 . Uvodna odredba Član 1. Ovom uredbom utvrđuje se visina naknade za korišćenje voda, naknade za ispuštenu vodu, naknade za odvodnjavanje, naknade za korišćenje vodnih objekata i sistema i naknade za izvađeni rečni nanos, u skladu sa kriterijumima utvrđenim Zakonom o vodama. 2 . Naknada za korišćenje voda Član 2. Flowering Plants and Ferns of Keele University David W. Emley Updated June 2019 Keele is perhaps more interesting for its trees than for its flowering plants, however there are a few unusual species amongst them. The deciduous woodland, consisting mainly of Oak and Sycamore, has a poor ground flora which makes for a fine display of Bluebells in the spring. It also has Yellow Archangel, a plant associated with ancient woodland as well as the lovely Wood Sorrel. The former sewage-works site, just south of Lake 5, was once home to a small colony of Harebell and Betony. The area between that site and the entrance to Lymes Road used to be very good for plants. Indeed, there was a colony of Common Spotted Orchids and a few Northern Marsh Orchids. These appear to have gone - it is too overgrown now. The small gully that leads into Lake 7 is lined with Bluebells but also Ramsons or Wild Garlic; its main site at Keele. Keele has a good bramble flora and is the type locality for Rubus sneydii, named by Eric Edees; a national expert on brambles who lived nearby. One plant, Rhododendron ponticum, is causing problems in the deciduous woodland where it is very invasive and is unfortunately the host of Phytophthora ramorum. This virus can seriously affect oaks, larches and many other trees. Because of this Keele has to remove all its Larch and most of its Rhododendron. This will, of course, open up the woodland to let the native ground flora grow up and extensive replanting with native trees is scheduled to start in autumn 2015. -

Originalan nau~ni rad Prihva}eno: 21. jun 2012. Apstrakt. – Posledwih godina se pokazalo da na teritoriji Srbije postoji mnogo ve}i broj lokaliteta Kocofeni kulturne grupe nego {to je publikovano pre jedne ili vi{e decenija. Objediwavawem nepublikovanih podataka i dokumentacije sa arheolo{kih iskopavawa i rekognoscirawa, kao i apsolutnim datumima dobijenim posledwih godina, stvorena je potreba da se u nekim aspektima koriguju i boqe sagledaju rasprostrawenost, na~in `ivota i trajawe ove kulturne grupe na prostoru severoisto~ne Srbije, gde je ona i najprisutnija. Osim nalaza materijalne kulture, u radu su prezentovane topografske karakteristike naseqa koja su sada u najve}em procentu georeferencirana. Ovaj rad, tako|e, predstavqa poku{aj da se pojasne neke od dilema vezanih za dru{tveno-ekonomski i tehnolo{ki razvoj populacija kasnog bakarnog i ranog bronzanog doba.
