DAY 2 Phoenix Ancient Town – Zhangjiajie ( B / L / D ) • Phoenix Ancient Town , claimed by some to be the most beautiful ancient city in China. Sightseeing includes Wanming Pavilion, Hongqiao Bridge etc. Take a walk along the Tuojiang River to explore unique houses built on stilts. Fenghuang (Phoenix), an ancient town of historical and cultural significance, is small yet picturesque. Be impressed by its original Miao ethnic group’s customs. • Zhangjiajie Junsheng Sandstone Painting Museum, Appreciate sandstone paintings merged with Chinese and Western art. DAY 3 Zhangjiajie ( B / L / D ) • Tianmen (Heavenly Door) Mountain Scenic Area ( at own expense ). It has been designated as the second national forest park in Zhangjiajie.Tianmen is the highest peak in Zhangjiajie and is regarded as the 'soul' of Zhangjiajie. There are many graceful trees, karst hillocks and medicinal herbs and plants on the mountain. Enjoy the marvelous scenery whilst traveling on Tianmen Mountain by Cableway. • Yuanjiajie which is a naturally-formed platform mountain, surrounded by high summits and divided by deep valleys, grab the chance to try Bailong Elevator up , the highest and heaviest outdoor elevator in the world. Next proceed to Yuanjiajie Mihuntai Stage , and the First Bridge which is a naturally-formed platform mountain, surrounded by high summits and divided by deep valleys. • Mt. Tianzi Scenic Area continue visit the Fairy scene , the West Stone Forest and the Helong Park . After that Mt. Tianzi Nature Reserve by cableways down. Note: Due to unexpected maintenance or weather variations, irresistible causes, the Mt Tianzi cable car descenting will be changed to Bailong Elevator or Yangjiajie cable car for descenting. The sequence of elevator or cable car will be subject to the arrangement by the local china agency. Note: Itinerary may be changed in winter due to closure of roads to Mount Tianzi for safety reasons. It will be adjusted, certain sightseeing areas may be closed as well. DAY 4 Zhangjiajie ( B / L / D ) • Golden Whip Stream which offers captivating scenes of rugged cliffs and undulating hills. Continue the sightseeing at the Ten-Mile Art Gallery (Electro-mobile transportation included) , which has karst formations of different shapes and sizes, stretching over some 10 miles and forming a natural art corridor. • Grand Canyon Glass Bridge is located in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon area, is the highest in the world, the longest span of the glass bridge, the bridge built on both sides of the peak on the Grand Canyon, across the Grand Canyon, arch from the valley relative height of about 400 meters, About 370 meters, all the use of transparent glass paved bridge. Note: If Grand Canyon Glass Bridge unforeseen circumstances, maybe replace or change attractions without prior notice based on local agent. DAY 5 Zhangjiajie – Yichang – Yangtze River Cruise ( B / L / D ) • After take the coach to Yichang and embark onto the 5* Yangtze River Cruise - (President Cruises ) DAY 6 Yangtze River Cruise ( B / L / D ) • This morning, the ship will passerby the Xiling Gorge . • Three Gorges Dam, which is the largest irrigation project in the world. Upon returning to the ship, it will go through the Five Ship Locks. This evening you may dress up for the Captain’s Welcome Party. DAY 7 Yangtze River Cruise ( B / L / D ) • This morning, the ship will passerby the Wu Gorge . • Shennong Stream or Fairy Stream (depending on the cruise itinerary). The river is shallow and the water is lucid. It is full of steep peaks. Its beauty surpassed that of the Three Gorges In the afternoon, the ship will passerby the spectacular Qutang Gorge . (Due to Different cruise arrangement, Shennong Stream may be change to Fairy Stream.) Day 8 Yangtze River Cruise ( B / L / D ) This morning, the ship will arrive at Zhong County, we will visit the Shibao Stockade . • Shibao Stockade which is known as the Pearl of Yangtze River. It’s the largest and the most layered wooden structure architecture existence in China, hence, it’s known as one of the “8 World Wonders Architecture”. Thereafter, you may visit the Fengdu Ghost City at your own expense. This evening we will have a Captain’s Farewell Dinner. Note: Onshore excursions are seasonal and are operated by the cruise company. With the construction of the dam, some attractions may be submerged under water whilst others may only be viewed from aboard the ship. Arrangements will be made at the cruise operator’s discretion. IPGRI's mandate is to advance the conservation and use of genetic diversity for the well-being of present and future generations. IPGRI's headquarters is based in Maccarese, near Rome, Italy, with offices in another 19 countries worldwide.
