1970 - Received a grant for $10,000 from State of Oregon Office of 1971 Aging for a research study. Was sponsored by School of Social Work, Portland State University. Title of study was "A Study of Elderly Persons' Willingness to Live Together" and was also a master’s thesis project.

1971 - Helped participate in writing grants at state and federal level for 1973 substance abuse programs and mental health programs for the State of Nevada Department of Mental Health.

1985 - Doctoral Dissertation research project at Tulane University School 1988 of Social Work, Title was "A Comparison of Adolescent Substance Abusers and Their Families With Adolescent Non- Abusers and Their Families on Family Interaction Variables."

1989 - Research project as part of a faculty position at LSU School of 1991 Social Work. A survey research project entitled "Social Work Practice with Children, Adolescents and Their Families Exposed to Religious and Satanic Cults, " This project has been published in Social Work and Health Care. Supported by the LSU School of Social Work.

1990 - Represent Social Work Department on Research Committee for 2000 the Department of Psychiatry, Ochsner Clinic.

2004 - Involved in a research study that will measure Present treatment outcome for short--term group work models with children, adolescents and adults. Study is ongoing. Many outcome variables are being researched for effective treatment using group work models.
