This is always a special time in the year where we can focus on the great love of God through works of prayer, sacrifice, and almsgiving. Recently someone remarked to me that they want this Lent to be different. His Holiness Pope Pius IX In the Roman Catholic tradition, an Act of Reparation is a prayer, devotion or sacrifice with the intent to repair the "sins of others", e.g. For the repair of the sin of blasphemy, the sufferings of Jesus Christ or as Acts of Reparation to the Virgin Mary. These prayers do not usually involve a petition for a living or deceased beneficiary, but aim to repair sins. There is a need today for more people to come to our Lord in the garden as angels of consolation, to console Him in the work of our redemption.

    Created by the Hospital Ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Arlington Prayers of the HOLY FACE CHAPLET The Holy Face Chaplet is composed of a cross and 39 beads. The Cross calls to mind the mystery of our Redemption. The 33 small beads represent the 33 years of the mortal life of our Lord. The first 30 small beads recall to mind the 30 years of Jesus’ private life. They are divided into 5 groups of 6 with the intention of honoring the 5 senses (touch, hearing, sight, smell and taste) of Jesus, which have their seat principally in His Holy Face. The last group of 3 beads recall the public life of the Savior and honor the wounds of His adorable Face. The Gloria is repeated 7 times within the chaplet in honor of the 7 last words of Jesus on the Cross, and the 7 sorrows of the Immaculate Virgin.
