Half of the year is gone and the second half promises more fun. The Temple is in full renovation mode. The ballroom has a new dance floor, painted walls and renewed ceiling tiles. The carpet should be in by late July or early August. Our capital funding project is also going well. The more we can raise, the less we need to take out of the reserve fund.

Imperial Session is coming up fast. Nashville looks to be a fun time. Moolah has a few units competing. We will all be rooting for you! Our very own Chanters are again part of the opening ceremonies and will also sing at the Sunday Church service. This is great preparation for their competition. YOMO will be competing in the Motors competition. We are staying at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel. There are a few rooms still available if you would like to attend.

Our Sportsman Extravaganza is coming up July 27th. Tickets are in the office or are available from your unit. We are looking for another great turnout for this event. We have dates open for the Units to sell tickets at the Bass Pro Shop in St. Charles. A few hours on the weekend could make your Unit, Club or Committee some extra money. You will get $5.00 per ticket sold back to the Unit.

August 10th we are putting on a Dueling Piano party in the Ballroom. This will be a fun event so get a table together of family and friends. This will also be a membership event as well, so please bring a prospective candidate with you. The prospects and their companion will get in free.

Calling all Pinewood Derby cars! The challenge has been set and the date is for Saturday, August 17th at Ainad Tem- ple. Last year they came to Moolah for the big race and they won. So let’s get some great cars ready to go and get some redemption! I hear they are already working on their cars. We will have more info as we get closer to that date. Our big event for CSSA is in Sioux City, Iowa this year. The dates are August 21st to the 25th. We are staying at the Stoney Creek Hotel. There is a flyer in this Camels Tales with more information. Remember to make your hotel res- ervation and you also need to register in the office. Moolah is collecting $50 per person. CSSA raised their registra- tion fee to $30 per person and Moolah is collecting $20 per person to cover some of the costs for a Hospitality Room.

Fall Ceremony will be October 26th. Get your candidates started in Blue Lodge if they have not yet done so. If they are already Master Masons you can still get their names in so we can get them voted on and ready to go.

The First Lady Diane and I hope to see you at the upcoming events.

Fraternally,

Ill Sir Don Taylor

By: Ron Reynolds We do not lose the ones we love they only go before, The vast majority of people pay no attention to eternity. They’re living for the here Where there is everlasting life. If we and peace is everywhere. You don’t get to choose what’s going to happen to you the rest of your life. But you May do get to choose how you respond. George Stehlin, Jim Yettke, Jerry Gaddy and Jack Stoessel along with 18 other veterans made the trip to Washington, sponsored by Greater St Louis Honor Flight, and enjoyed the opportunity to visit the Korean War and other Memorials. It was a whirlwind one day trip coordinated by the local Honor Flight Chapter to recognize our veterans service and sacrifices for our country and thank them for all they have done. It was my privilege to be a Flight Leader on this day and escort these veterans on a trip they richly deserved.
