Migration Is the World on the Move Migration is the world on the move. It is a search for a new meaning; a hope for survival or for better life. With each generation claiming the tangible and the intangible, humanity carries on its own sense of immortality. The migrant leaves everything behind either motivated by domestic menace or seduced by the promises of the new world, in a subconscious search for immortality. Even if this experience might turn into a short-lived illusion, the migrant becomes nevertheless an exemplar of hope and courage, just like Gilgamesh did in his search for immortality. With the immersion into the unknown, the migrant can become anything but a static entity. This is because migration itself is an engine of civilization, claiming a piece of its self-expression and creativity. The perpetual scarcity, or by both, migration has become so unexceptional these days that it will soon claimstate of its creativity own rite ofis motivatedpassage for by the a longgenerations tale of survival. to come. • Darius PETKŪNAS – the Sources of the 1545 Old Prussian Language
THE SOURCES OF THE 1545 OLD PRUSSIAN LANGUAGE CATECHISMS Darius Petkūnas Abstract The Teutonic Order in Prussia recognised and acknowledged its responsibility to catechise both the German-speaking colonists and the native population. The Reformation made no radical changes to these requirements, but gave them serious attention. During the 1540s to the 1560s, several Catechisms for the non-German subjects of the Duke of Prussia were pre- pared and published in Königsberg, including three in the Old Prussian language. The editor 189 of the first and second Old Prussian-language Catechisms published bilingual books, with the German Catechism on the left-hand page, and the same text on the right-hand page in the Old Prussian language. Reinhold Trautmann established that the source of the Decalogue in these books was Luther’s 1531 Small Catechism. However, he had difficulties confirming the sources of the remaining four parts of the Catechism, since he found a number of words and phrases which could not be identified as coming from Luther’s Catechisms. The article elaborates on Trautmann’s thesis that the source of the German Decalogue is Luther’s 1531 Enchiridion. In addition, it argues that the sources of the remaining parts of the Catechism were German-lan- guage catechetical and liturgical texts that were circulating in Prussia at that time. KEY WORDS: Duchy of Prussia, catechisation, Old Prussian language, Martin Luther.

Bulletin of the Transilvania University of Braşov – Special Issue Series VII: Social Sciences • Law • Vol. 10 (59) No. 1 - 2017 ADMINISTRATIVE-TERRITORIAL LAIC INSTITUTIONS IN 12TH CENTURY MEDIEVAL TRANSYLVANIAN DOCUMENTS Alexandru CIOLTEI1 Abstract: The realm of Hungary has known a territorial expansion during the 12th century, which meant that Transylvania was also included on this particular expansion route. It was gradually included within the realm, on two axes: north-west and south-east. After the conquering stage, the organizational one followed. It was during this latter period, that the practice of institutional- administrative writing was growing roots on a European level. The Hungarian royal authority fully understood the importance and necessity of implementing this practice. The present paper is an attempt to analyze 12th century medieval documents which make reference to the particular administrative-territorial institutions that were developed in Transylvania and to the personalities that occupied positions within these institutions. Key words: county, medieval Transylvania, 12th century, medieval documents. 1. Introduction The occupation of Transylvania by the Hungarian royal authority is seen as the first phase within the process of enclosing this territory within the realm of Hungary. The next stage meant introducing a new administrative-territorial structure. The Hungarian administrative apparatus had to make use of the already existing and functioning administrative units in Transylvania during the 11th century. The transition from the existing system to the entailed one took place during the 12th century. It was at that point, that the royal authority started to favour the European medieval pattern for regional administrative-territorial units. 2. Administrative-Territorial Laic Structures At the start of the 11th century, an important part of Transylvania entered under the authority of the Hungarian kingdom.

The Migration of Literary Ideas: The Problem of Romanian Symbolism Cosmina Andreea Roșu ABSTRACT: The migration of symbolists’ ideas in Romanian literary field during the 1900’s occurs mostly due to poets. One of the symbolist poets influenced by the French literature (the core of the Symbolism) and its representatives is Dimitrie Anghel. He manages symbols throughout his entire writings, both in poetry and in prose, as a masterpiece. His vivid imagination and fantasy reinterpret symbols from a specific Romanian point of view. His approach of symbolist ideas emerges from his translations from the French authors but also from his original writings, since he creates a new attempt to penetrate another sequence of the consciousness. Dimitrie Anghel learns the new poetics during his years long staying in France. KEY WORDS: writing, ideas, prose poem, symbol, fantasy. A t the beginning of the twentieth century the Romanian literature was dominated by Eminescu and his epigones, and there were visible effects of Al. Macedonski’s efforts to impose a new poetry when Dimitrie Anghel left to Paris. Nicolae Iorga was trying to initiate a new nationalist movement, and D. Anghel was blamed for leaving and detaching himself from what was happening“ in the” country. But “he fought this idea in his texts making ironical remarks about those“The Landwho were” eagerly going away from native land ( Youth – „Tinereță“, Looking at a Terrestrial Sphere” – „Privind o sferă terestră“, a literary – „Pământul“).
