Once the Capital of the mighty Chalukya empire, the location has witnessed immense history. Rock - cut cave temples and red sandstone clis are a visual delight. Another town situated close by is Bijapur. Once ruled by the Adil - Shahi's, the city has some mind-blowing architectural marvels. From Bijapur Fo, Gol Gumbaz to Ibrahim Roza it is the peect way to revisit history. * To conrm your seat you will need to pay the booking amount. We will freshen up and have breakfast. > Once everyone is ready, we will get into our Tum - Tum and set - o to explore Badami. We reach the sta point, which is also the parking lot. From here on you can see the sandstone clis and caves. > We begin by exploring the temples and the centuries-old architecture. It takes around 2 -3 hours to complete the circuit of temples. > We again hop into our Tum - Tum and go to explore Paadakal. Paadkal is an impoant site that shows the Indian culture and religion of Hindu and Jain in the 8th - Century. > Finally for the day, we will explore Aihole. A temple site where Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist temples are present. The architecture style is very reminiscent of the Noh Indian wood-style recreated in stone. > Post Aihole we head back to our stay for the night and bid adieu to our Tum - Tum. > We will share pictures, stories over dinner and get ready for Bijapur. Day 3 Explore Bijapur Gol Gumbaz Ibrahim Roza Bijapur Fo MultipleModes Stay Not Applicable Breakfast > Leave for Bijapur from Badami at 6:00 am. > Reach Bijapur and have breakfast. > Once we have recharged our baeries. We begin by exploring Ibrahim Roza rst. Persian architecture is visually stunning. Intricately carved with a dome at the center and 4 corner minarets. > Next we head to Malik - e - Maidan to see one of the largest bell metal guns in the world. The nozzle of the gun is shaped like a lion with open jaws. Click many pictures and tap it to hear the sound of a bell. > We move onto Bara Kaman, the unnished mausoleum stuck in time. Explore the monument and relive history. > Post Bara Kaman, It is lunchtime and we will head into a restaurant to taste some good noh Karnataka cuisine. > Post lunch, we will explore the crown jewel of Bijapur 'Gol Gumbaz'. A mausoleum built in Indian - Islamic architecture of style. > Climb up to the whispering gallery and experience the acoustic design. A so sound at any end of the gallery will be heard all over. We will spend some time here and also laze around the monument. > Gol gumbaz will take quite a time to explore. Once completed we will head to Shivgiri temple and see the 85-foot tall statue. > Post temple, we will head to the bus stop. We will have dinner near the bus stop and then board our bus. Day 4 Reach Pune > We reach Pune around 6:00 am and the trip concludes. THINGS TO CARRY For Backpacking : Extra Clothes Day Backpack Water bole Sunglasses Food during the transit. Extra pair of Sandals - Recommended Amazing Camera. General Things to carry : Personal Medicines Odomos Suncream, Cap and goggles. Personal things if any. Fun Things : Fun games like UNO, Jenga, etc. Some exciting things like guitar, mouth organ, etc ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Please note the following points : 1) This is a backpacking trip. Kindly stick to carrying backpacks of min 35 liters. 2) Our itinerary will change according to the situation. 3) The stay provided will be in common rooms and separate for Male, Female. 4) The comfo level of the trip will be lower in comparison to other trips. 5) There is a fair amount of walking involved to explore the locations. 6) The trip is for ages 12 and above. 7) The trip involves a fair amount of walking, so it is not advised for those who have physical ailments or can't walk long distances. TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. Alcohol and smoking are strictly disallowed on treks. If found, trekking under inuence of drugs or drinks you’ll be barred from the trek. And our responsibility ceases with you. 2. Liering is strictly not allowed on treks. Do not leave empty plastic boles, biscuit or chocolate wrappers behind. We have to carry our own garbage/leovers back to the city. 3. Wear proper loose ing clothes no jeans pants allowed. Try and wear full sleeve top and long booms or pants. Will spare you from mosquitoes, insect bites or thorny bushes (your choice). 4. Talk to the native villagers gently and give respect to them. Cause we are their guests. 5. Do not carry lots of cash, gold or any valuables. We are not responsible for the loss. 6. Please follow instructions given by trek leads and organizers. Do not debate with any organizer. All instructions are for the paicipants' benet. 7. Let's respect and admire nature together. Also, be careful about ora. CANCELLATION POLICY If an event is called o at the last moment due to natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rains, eahquake, landslides, strike, bandh, etc), Pune Travel Club will issue a trek voucher for the full amount. The voucher can be redeemed for the same trek or another trek in six months. In case, you wish to cancel your trek, please email us on [email protected] Cancellation requests will not be taken over the phone or WhatsApp. The cancellation charges are as under • Cancellations prior to 15 days from the sta of the event/trek/backpacking trip - full refund. • Cancellation between 15 days and 2 days to the sta of the event/trek/backpacking trip - 50% refund. • Cancellation less than 2 days to the sta of the event/trek/backpacking trip - no refund. • The booking amount will be refunded as per the transpo providers' cancellation charges. Please note: In case of a refund, there will be a deduction of 5% (cancellation charges) from the total fee you have paid.
