he great visionary and philanthropist Hon. Education is the manifestation of the founded Manjara Charitable Trust in the year 1988. The Hon. perfection already present in man. TD. D. Deshmukh and the late Adv. B. V. Kale contributed as the president and the secretary respectively during the formative years of the Trust. The primary objective of the Trust is to make available quality technical and non-technical education to rural and urban students of . In its endeavour to achieve its goals, the Trust has been running a galaxy of educational institutions providing education in the various disciplines of Arts, Science and Commerce. In 1992, the Trust started the College of Engineering at Airoli (Navi Mumbai) to meet the demand of engineers and technocrats in the country. The institute was renamed as Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, as a token of remembrance to the great son of our nation, the late Rajiv Gandhi. In 2002, Mr. Amit Deshmukh took over responsibility as the Executive Trustee for furthering the objectives of the Trust. The era of globalization and the information technology revolution have widened the scope of Engineering and Management education in the whole world. The demand for knowledge workers is ever increasing in the global market. The Trust aims at enabling its students to be knowledge leaders in their respective fields. The Trust has been achieving its goals successfully under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Amit Deshmukh and the able guidance of the Hon. Shri. Vilasrao Deshmukh.
