SCOPE & CONTENT

193 photographs (various sizes and 4 x 6"), 1 lithograph, black and white. Album predominately includes photographs taken around the BC/Alaska coast, including many shots of ships, families, individuals and groups from the early 20th Century. Some modern photographs have been inserted loose. Most of the photographs are un-captioned, although a few individuals are identified. Further, it appears that some captioning was done long after the photographs were placed in the album. The album also contains some miscellaneous notes and newspaper clippings on the arrival of the Alemeda to in October 1967 and the sinking of the Valencia at Cape Beale. Also a photograph taken in 1945 of Captain Park seated at a table with members of the Cates family. Also enclosed is an undated Draney family birth announcement.
