Sepher Sephiroth (Revised) Sepher Sephiroth (revised) By Allan Bennett and Aleister Crowley Revised by Ian Rons Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. This numerical dictionary has been revised and updated, including much new material. It has also been stripped of much extraneous material such as planetary spirits, etc., to make it a more “purist” production, since much of the material of that type is rather unreliable. All the numerations have been checked, and the Latin originally given from Kabbalah Denudata has been translated and checked against the Hebrew (using Brown-Driver-Briggs and Megiddo). The references to Zoharic texts, etc., have been checked, and are now given with verse numbers (rather than page numbers) wherever possible. Furthermore, new Zoharic and other references have been inserted. Biblical references have been checked, and given KJV (rather than Vulgate) verse numbers, and many new Biblical references have been found. Hebrew words and phrases without a translation have been translated, and many of the other Hebrew translations have been checked also. Words and phrases with a possible “final letters” value have all been enumerated. Love is the law, love under will. I.R. The Hebrew Alphabet Name Figure Value Transliteration (M) Aleph ) 1A (D) Beth b 2B (D) Gimel g 3G (D) Daleth d 4D (S) Heh h 5H (S) Vau w 6V (S) Zayin z 7Z (S) Cheth x 8Ch (S) Teth + 9T (S) Yod y 10 I (D) Kaph k K 20 500 K (S) Lamed l 30 L (M) Mem m M 40 600 M (S) Nun n N 50 700 N (S) Samekh s 60 S (S) Ayin ( 70 O (D) Peh p P 80 800 P (S) Tzaddi c C 90 900 Tz (S) Qoph q 100 Q (D) Resh r 200 R (M) Shin # 300 Sh (D) Tau t 400 Th When written large, the value of a Hebrew letter is increased by a factor of one thousand. A large Aleph is counted 1000, a large Beth 2000, etc. Note that there are no vowels in Hebrew, only semi-vowels (A, H, V, I). Diacritical marks are sometimes used to indicate vowels, but generally the correct pronunciation of a word therefore relies on memory. In any case, this has no importance in Gematria, except that it must be noted that any given word may have many different meanings, according as it is pronounced. M, D and S before the names of the letters shows their division into Mothers, Double and Single letters; referred respectively to active Elements (Air, Water, Fire), Planets and Zodiacal Signs. But Shin and Tau also serve to signify the Elements of Spirit and of Earth (see Liber 777). Abbreviations: K.D. Kabbalah Denudata Ch. Chaldee Ar. Aramaic S.B. Sepher Bahir S.D.

From this shadow there arose giants who said: "We are Malachim," but they were nothing more than phantoms. They appeared because Aelohim had hidden itself by creating darkness within chaos; they disappeared when there was brought forth in the east that luminous head, that glowing head that humanity gives itself by proclaiming the existence of Aelohim, the sun [Solar Absolute, the Ain Soph Aur], governor of our aspirations and our thoughts. The Elohim are mirages made of shadow, and Aelohim is the synthesis of splendors [Zohar]. Usurpers fall away when the king [sexually] mounts his throne [wife], and when [the light of] Aelohim appears, the Elohim are banished.” - Zohar “Thus, when Aelohim had permitted the darkness to exist, in order that the stars [the Elohim] might appear, he turned towards the shadow he had made and considered it, to give it a face.

Without guidance, this is usually impossible. Therefore, lowe my biggest thanks to Peter and Laura Yorke of Ra Horakhty Temple, who provided my first exposure to self-initiation techniques in the Golden Dawn. Their years of expe rience with the Golden Dawn material yielded a structure of carefully selected ex ercises, which their students still use today to bring about a gradual transformation. WIthout such well-prescribed use of the Golden Dawn's techniques, it would have been difficult to make progress in its grade system. The basic structure of the course in this book is built on a foundation of the Golden Dawn's elemental grade system as my teachers passed it on. In particular, it develops further their choice to use the color correspondences of the Four Worlds, a piece of the original Golden Dawn system that very few occultists have recognized as an ini tiatory tool.

  • PASSAGE PROCESSES by Martin Skála Prague, Czech Republic
PASSAGE PROCESSES by Martin Skála Prague, Czech Republic Individual Member IAAP Developing Group ČSAP Martin Skála | IM IAAP, DG ČSAP | 1 Psychopompos.cz | Prague, Czech Republic This contribution deals with archetypal process of passage or deep psychic crises. A link among several disorders occurring on the threshold of adulthood, rites of initiation and the individuation process will be suggested. I will offer a term “initiation process” which takes place on the threshold of adulthood. The initiation process is similar but different from the individuation process elaborated by Jung. A case vignette will clarify particularity of the initiation process. Then the individuation and the initiation process will be compared to Basal Perinatal Matrices elaborated on by Grof. I will suggest a term “passage processes” as a superordinate concept for all similar archetypal processes when one´s life is completely changed in all possible meanings. In the end I will summarize my understanding of human development in four Worlds (Womb, Family, Adulthood and Transpersonal Dimension in an old age) which are connected by five passage processes (Conception, Birth, Initiation, Individuation and Death). Martin Skála | IM IAAP, DG ČSAP | 2 Psychopompos.cz | Prague, Czech Republic Introduction Jung extended developmental psychology to the second part of human’s life by elaborating his theory of the individuation process (Edinger, 1968). He built this theory on the base of his own experience which he called Nekyia – "the night journey on the sea ... descent into the belly of the monster (a journey to hell)", or Katabasis - descent into the lower world (Jung, CW 05). In 1913, when he was 38 he had many anxious dreams and visions which are elaborated on in his Red Book.

  • An Exploration of the Sephiroth in Masonic Symbolism Fr
An Exploration of the Sephiroth in Masonic Symbolism Fr. Ernest R. Spradling, Vll 0 A very senior Freemason once lamented about the younger generation of Brothers, who were exploring the mystical in Freemasonry, it being only a social club. I really don't agree with that sentiment, and given what I have experienced over the years, I know fully that our gentle Craft is imbued with mystical spirituality that has accumulated since the first Lodge was founded. After all, everything in this Fraternity is, in a larger sense, a microcosm of the life led on this plane: if spirituality is found in all THE LORD's Creation, why would there not be some form of the spiritual in the workings of the Fraternity? I have experienced occasional "glimmers" of the Light, through various gradations in the Craft, when the conditions were right; this set me on this study of various mystical "trailblazers" that have been evident, and not-so-evident, in the Craft's symbolism. Being ever mindful of the admonition in the 32"d Degree of the Scottish Rite (Southern Jurisdiction, U.S.A.): "To know how to classify shells, flowers, and insects is not wisdom any more than it is wisdom to know the titles of books" I must state for the record that, as Heinlein's protagonist put it in the novel, "Stranger in a Strange Land", "I am onJy an egg", I do not profess to have the knowledge of the Adepts, despite the occasional "glimmers" I've experienced over the years. A lot of this probably is old ground for some readers.

  • Michael Stevens' the Road to Interzone
“The scholarship surrounding the life and work of William Burroughs is in the midst of a renaissance. Students of Burroughs are turning away from myths, legends, and sensationalistic biographical detail in order to delve deeply into textual analysis, archival research, and explorations of literary and artistic history. Michael Stevens’ The Road to Interzone is an important part of this changing landscape. In a manner similar to Ralph Maud’s Charles Olson’s Reading, The Road to Interzone places the life and literature of “el Hombre Invisible” into sharper focus by listing and commenting on, in obsessive detail, the breadth of literary material Burroughs read, referred to, researched, and reviewed. Stevens reveals Burroughs to be a man of letters and of great learning, while simultaneously shedding light on the personal obsessions, pet theories, childhood favorites, and guilty pleasures, which make Burroughs such a unique and fascinating figure. Stevens’ book provides a wealth of new and important information for those deeply interested in Burroughs and will no doubt prove essential to future scholarship. Like Oliver Harris’ The Secret of Fascination and Robert Sobieszek’s Ports of Entry before it, The Road to Interzone is an indispensable addition to the canon of Burroughs Studies.” -Jed Birmingham “Michael Stevens has created a new kind of biography out of love for William S. Burroughs and love of books. Author worship and bibliophilia become one at the point of obsession, which of course is the point where they become interesting. Burroughs’ reading was intense and far flung, and Stevens has sleuthed out a portrait of that reading--the books Burroughs lent his name to in the form of introductions and blurbs, the books in his various libraries, the books he refers to, the books that found their way into his writing, and much more! Along with lively notes from Stevens, we have Burroughs throughout--his opinions, perceptions, the ‘grain of his voice.’ That in itself makes Stevens’ book a notable achievement.
