Other cities of Liguria and Northern Italy are generally reached in less than two hours by car (Santa Margherita Ligure, Portofino, Genoa, Sestri Levante, Pisa, Im- peria, Sanremo, Turin…). The closest airport is the one in Genoa (36km; 35’) but the terminals in Pisa, Cuneo, Milan and Turin are very convenient as well. The villa (600 sqm – 6,456 sqft, 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms) is laid over three floors organized as follows: - Ground floor: entrance room with portico, eight rooms (two of which used in the past as bedrooms), two bathrooms, an infernot (which is a cellar carved into the stone) and two windowless storage rooms. - First floor: entrance room, ample living room with veranda, kitchen, sitting room with ter- race, bedroom and two bathrooms; - Second floor: master bedroom with walk-in closet and private bathroom, ample studio with veranda, two bedrooms and bathroom. Outside, with direct access from the garden, one can also find four small annexes currently used as storehouses and tool sheds. The villa, built in 1912 following the rules of Liberty style, boasts excellent finishes in the many rooms, with sinuous decorations. Many arches, typical of Art Nouveau, are visible all over the house, both as windows and connecting elements between the rooms. Floors are paved in stone, with beautiful and colorful mosaics; the staircase linking the floors, already featured on architec- ture and art magazines, is made out of marble and fitted with a decorated iron railing. A huge win- dow brightens the stairwell. Bedrooms are covered with frescoed vaulted ceilings, with moldings running all around the house. The first and second floor of the villa have been fully restored in 2015 with the installation of mod- ern comforts, a total remake of the roof, bathroom fixtures, systems and general redecoration of the façade and the interiors. The ground floor unit needs, on the other hand, to be modernized and updated to be used at its full potential. The villa was mentioned multiple times for being one of the ten most beautiful dwellings in the Li- gurian Levante. The villa boasts, on the side watching the sea, a nice 800-sqm garden with oven. This outdoor space is perfect to meet friends and grants an excellent background to relax in the pleasant cli- mate of Liguria. Agostino 37, 16123 Genova, Italy Abstract The Portofino promontory extends for 13 km along the northwestern Italian coast. This peninsula has a rough coastline, steep seabed, and high indices of biodiversity, both in its terrestrial and marine ecosystems. In 1935, a terrestrial protected area was established, preventing the intense urban development and mass tourism that characterises nearby areas today. Presently, the economies of the small towns in the area are based on elite tourism and recreational boating. Based on an analysis of the uses of the area and their impacts on the coastal ecosystems, we suggest that the present activities significantly degrade the area’s environment. In 1998, the national government created a marine protected area surrounding the peninsula. Some local authorities and many stakeholders from the nearby communities opposed the designation, fearing a decrease in tourism and stricter control over recreational activities. Two potential alternatives exist for the area: (a) maintaining a traditional system with short-term economic benefits; or (b) choosing an innovative, environmentally sound system of management providing intermediate and long-term economic and environmental benefits. # 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved. The Portofino promontory, located about 25 km east of Genoa, juts into the Ligurian Gulf and possesses 13 km of coastline along the Ligurian Sea. The peninsula is a hilly area that reaches a height of 610 m at the summit of Monte di Portofino.

The first part of the itinerary is marked with “two red dots” and runs along the Gentile stream. A quite steep staircase with circa 900 steps will lead you up to the Church San Rocco, passing between olive groves, farmed terraces and tall dry walls. The hamlet of San Rocco di Camogli, in a unique position with a gorgeous lookout, is one of the accesses to the Park of Portofino.

Subito dopo la laurea mi fermai per due anni alla stessa Facoltà di Scienze Politiche, Istituto di Sociologia e Scienza della Politica, quale esercitazionista volontario.
