Thanda Island Access Sheet ACCESS SHEET ACCESS MAP AND FLIGHT INFORMATION • To get to Thanda Island, international guests fly directly to Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam with Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airlines, Etihad Airlines or South African Airways. • The following international airlines fly into the region and use local airlines to fly into Dar es Salaam: Swiss Air and KLM. • We recommend guests choose an in-bound flight arriving in Dar es Salaam in the morning. This will provide ample time to transfer to Thanda Island within the same day (unless travelling to the Island by helicopter). • Alternatively, there are several international hotel options in Dar es Salaam for overnight stays. • Please note that, unless overnighting on Mafia Island, guests need to land on Mafia Island before 17h00 as boat transfers cannot leave later than 17h00. • The boat ride could entail having to wade in shallow water, so please dress appropriately. Max 15kg per person (inclusive of hand luggage). Speak to our reservations team for options on hard and excess baggage. Please note that helicopter transfers are subject to availability.
