Press Release May 2021 45 Park Lane to launch luxury wellness space (LONDON) Dorchester Collection’s vibrant and luxurious Mayfair hotel, 45 Park Lane, is set to launch The Spa at 45 Park Lane as part of the hotel experience from May 17, 2021. The 10,000 sq. ft. spa will feature Park Lane’s longest pool at 20 metres, as well as a personal training room and spacious state- of-the-art gym. Spa treatments will be by Valmont and Aromatherapy Associates. The wellness space is part of Mayfair Park Residences, the recently completed development delivered by ultra-prime developers Clivedale London located next door to, and serviced by, 45 Park Lane. Guests of the hotel will have full use of the facilities as part of their stay experience, which include separate sauna and steam rooms, a hydrotherapy pool and private changing and shower rooms. Designed by Jouin Manku, the wellness space has been specifically created to bring a sense of the outside in, referencing artistic flora using traditional Roman style mosaics from Venetian artisans. Natural timbers and light coloured stone bring a sense of calm and tranquillity; while timber slatted ceilings have been integrated to create better acoustics within the pool, gym and relaxation lounge. BCD Travel | Adelman Travel Research and Intelligence What you need to know: Hotel cleanliness and hygiene programs October 19, 2020 In an effort to reassure both employees and travelers that they are doing what they can to protect them against COVID-19, hotels are implementing new and improved cleanliness and hygiene processes. This report summarizes what hotel companies around the world are doing and planning. While each chain may be taking its own approach to cleanliness and hygiene, organizations like the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), with its Safe Stay Advisory Council, may help to establish common standards across the industry, baselines that hotels should meet and may choose to exceed.1 Certification programs and industry guidelines American Hotel & Lodging Association AHLA wants to set health and safety best practices and protocols, which hotels should meet or exceed. So far 17 hotel companies have joined the AHLA Council: Accor, Aimbridge Hospitality, Best Western, Choice Hotels, G6 Hospitality, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Loews Hotels, Marriott, My Place Hotels, Noble Investment Group, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Red Lion Hotels, Red Roof and Wyndham. AHLA has now issued new industrywide health and safety protocols. Safe Stay sets minimum standards for hotels to follow, developed by the advisory council and public health experts, supported by recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). AHLA will revise these standards as public health recommendations and federal, state and local laws change. -

Signed: Date: -2- ABSTRACT This thesis explores what evidence there is that business travellers engage in environment- related practices (ERP) when they are at their travel destination, and evaluates what scope there is to expand the uptake of pro-environmental practices. Research at the intersection between environmental behaviour and flying has been undertaken before, but to my knowledge no published research has covered the practices of business travellers at the destination (in situ practices). The opportunities for business travellers to make pro- environmental choices, but also the influence of corporate and hotel structures on these choices, deserves further investigation. To better understand business travellers’ in situ practices, empirical research was undertaken in London, UK, with three groups of stakeholders that are involved in business travel, namely hotel managers, individual business travellers, and to a lesser extent their employers. This source triangulation allowed for an understanding of in situ practices from the perspective of different integral actors, and enhanced the research’s reliability and rigour. Interviews were carried out with 34 business travellers, 22 London hotel managers and 4 company representatives, and business travellers were observed in hotel settings. -

You can find more information about them at the hotel group websites listed, searching for London and hotel name as appropriate. The 4* and 5* hotels generally have air conditioning; the other hotels listed do not. All hotels listed have all rooms with en-suite bath or shower and WC (with the exception of the Wyndham). Please arrange your accommodation directly with the hotel or using third party booking services. The prices below are a guide and will vary depending on season, availability, advanced booking etc. An underground railway map can be found at www.transportforlondon.gov.uk/tube - our local station is Baker Street. All hotels also offer rooms for double occupancy, which usually incurs a small additional charge. THE NEAREST HOTEL The nearest hotel to the University (2 minutes walk), which we have used for many years on our courses, is the Sherlock Holmes Hotel. This underwent major refurbishment ten years ago. It is a 'boutique' style town house hotel (4*) with a good standard of facilities in modern style, including a nice restaurant - but expensive. Bathrooms have ‘designer’ glass doors which may not make roo ms ideal for sharing with a colleague! If arriving late at night, be aware that a number of delegates have found the hotel overbooked and been relocated to the Victoria Park Plaza which is 4 km away. Standard rates are around £200 per night but it is often possible to find discounts to around £150. -

In a series of brand profiles over the past six months, Hotel News Now has featured those distinctive atmospheres, design elements and other characteristics of brands aimed at catering to guest demographics. Here’s a look at some that have stood out. Canyon Ranch, a hotel and wellness brand, accommodates guests seeking a space to reset their minds and bodies. While the majority of guests range in age from their 30s to mid-40s, they are generally united in the goals of their stay. "Whether (for) weight loss, or just to reset mind, body and soul, (Canyon Ranch is) a place of tranquility,” said COO Tom Klein. “Some people call it a safe haven. … They’re coming for a really transformational experience."”" Langham Hospitality Group’s Cordis brand seeks to give guests a fulfilling experience through wellness programs, wine tastings and elite programming. Combining concepts of wellness and luxury, the brand hopes to attract a “new consumer […] looking for something more fulfilling than the average amenities” by showcasing indulgence and health, Langham CEO Bob Warman said. Travelodge, which has brands in both the U.S. and U.K., is focused on attracting leisure guests with locations that invite exploration. Travelodge hopes to be “the base camp for adventure” for guests that aren’t necessarily looking to stay in a hotel, but rather are seeking a place to stop and recharge before the next parts of their trips, said Keri Putera, VP of Travelodge brand operations at Travelodge U.S. -
