Baltimore, Indianapolis (an NFL record nine in a row) and Philadelphia are the only teams to make the playoffs in the last three seasons. The 2010 campaign marked the first time the Ravens have ever earned the postseason three years in a row, also making the playoffs four of the last five years. With their Wild Card victory at Kansas City (30-7), Baltimore became the only NFL team to win at least one playoff game in each of the last three seasons. The Ravens then dropped a 31-24 decision at Pittsburgh in the Divisional Round. … Despite playing three of their first four contests of 2010 on the road, the Ravens won four of their opening five games and ended the regular season with four consecutive wins and triumphs in six of their last seven. Season highlights included victories at the Jets (10-9), at Pittsburgh (17-14), vs. Tampa Bay (17-10) and vs. the Saints (30-24). Difficult losses included a 23-20 OT decision at New England after gaining a 10-point, fourth-quarter lead; a 26-21 loss at Atlanta after taking a 21-20 lead with 1 minute left in the game; and a 13-10 loss to Pittsburgh when the Steelers scored the winning TD in the final minutes after a Ravens’ turnover. … John Harbaugh became just the fourth head coach since 1990 to earn the playoffs in his first three years, joining Bill Cowher, Dennis Green and Barry Switzer. 2010 DEFENSE 2011 OPPONENTS This was the third year in a row – the best run in team history – that the HOME: Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets Ravens finished third in the NFL in fewest points allowed. Baltimore’s Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers defense featured four 2010 Pro Bowlers: almost certain Hall of Famers LB Ray Lewis and S Ed Reed, along with OLB Terrell Suggs and DT Haloti AWAY: Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Ngata. The Ravens lost starting CB Domonique Foxworth on the first day Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, San Diego Chargers St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks of training camp, while Reed missed the first six games of the season re- habbing a hip injury. Despite the missed time, Reed still led the NFL with 8 INTs and 183 return yards. Eight of the defensive starters did not miss a game.
