Un Proyecto De Festival Internacional De Magia Ciudad De Zaragoza S.C UN PROYECTO DE FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE MAGIA CIUDAD DE ZARAGOZA S.C. I FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE MAGIA CIUDAD DE ZARAGOZA • MAYO 2021 P. 02 MOTIVACIÓN Grandes magos, grandes espacios para disfrutar de la magia, magos mediáticos... con todos estos antecedentes, el festival nace con la idea, de traer de nuevo a Zaragoza lo mejor de la magia mundial para disfrute del público Zaragozano. La magia, será por aquello de la ilusión, es el arte que más envuelve y momentaneamente nos hace olvidar nuestros problemas y deja salir a nuestro niño interior a disfrutar, a ilusionarse, quizás en estos momentos, es lo que necesitamos, ilusión. ANTECEDENTES JOSÉ DE FLORENCES Hacía finales del siglo XIX nace en Tamarite de Litera un mago que estaba destinado a hacer historia, José de Florences. Su magia recorrió el mundo entero, reyes, Zares y jefes de estado de todo el globo quedaron impresionados ante sus proezas mágicas, no en vano, la frase que acompañaba a sus carteles era: «José de Florences, Rey de los prestidigitadores y prestidigitador de reyes». Inspiró y enseño a grandes magos, como José Frakson que tras triunfar en España, siguió haciéndolo en Estados Unidos. Florences fue también miembro fundador de la Sociedad Española de Ilusionismo y uno de los grandes magos que ha tenido este país. Es el único mago español que tiene un monolito en su honor y anualmente se celebra un evento mágico en su ciudad natal. I FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE MAGIA CIUDAD DE ZARAGOZA • MAYO 2021 P. 03 LA EDAD DORADA Con la proliferación de las salas de fiesta en muchas ciudades, Zaragoza se convierte en un foco de actividad mágica en el tercer tercio del siglo XX. El teatro principal acoge desde 1972 el “Festival de Magia Fiestas de Primavera”, que durante varios años ofrece al público zaragozano, lo mejor de la magia mundial del momento. Teniendo hasta 16 salas de fiesta activas en la ciudad, se podía disfrutar de mucha magia y muchos magos zaragozanos, comienzan a despuntar a nivel nacional y a ganar premios en los Congresos Mágicos Nacionales. Nombres como Rahma-Khan, Sharkan, Revi, Los tres Sattans, Jav-May, Morlas, Wossler, Roger, Numa, Rayer's Sam, Peter Diz no paran de repetirse en las listas de premiados de los congresos. Y no solo premios nacionales, en 1985, Javier Antón gana el primer gran premio mundial de magia. PEPE CARROLL Nacido bilbilitano y crecido en Zaragoza, Pepe Carroll fue junto a Juan Tamariz, el mago más destacado, mediático y conocido de finales del siglo XX en España. Participó en numerosos programas de televisión de la época, "VIP noche", "Encantada de la vida", "Sorpresa sorpresa", y presentó el programa más famoso de humor de los noventa: "Genio y Figura". En antena 3 llegó a tener su propio concurso "¿A quién se le ocurre?" y grabó un increible programa especial titulado: "¿Quién sabe como?". Todo esto después de haber dado la vuelta al mundo con su magia, habiendo cosechado dos premios internacionales además de varios nacionales. Y habiendo actuado en míticos lugares como la meca de la magia "El Castillo Mágico "en la ciudad de Los Ángeles. I FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE MAGIA CIUDAD DE ZARAGOZA • MAYO 2021 P. 04 EN LA ACTUALIDAD Magos aragoneses que han recorrido el mundo con su magia como Florences, Rahma Khan, Javier Antón, numerosas salas de fiesta, Festival de primavera, grandes figuras mediáticas como Pepe Carroll... Con todos estos antecedentes, podemos decir que Aragón ha sido y es, tierra de grandes magos, así como el público zaragozano, es un público que le gusta disfrutar de la magia de calidad. Este festival, nace con la idea de retomar de algún modo ese testigo que nos dejaron las generaciones pasadas, en las que Grandes galas mágicas se celebraban en el Teatro Principal y donde el público zaragozano podía disfrutar de la flor y nata de la magia nacional e internacional. El Festival Internacional de Magia Ciudad de Zaragoza, nace en esta primera edición con la idea de crecer y renovarse en cada edición, esforzandose en llevar la magia a todos los rincones de la ciudad, de la mano de figuras de la magia de nivel internacional. UNA GRAN GALA Una gran gala mágica, construida con los mejores artistas internacionales del momento. Una original, atrevida y atractiva propuesta al público zaragozano. Un festival preparado con memoria en el pasado, pero pensado para los tiempos actuales y futuros. Magia insigne, fresca y actualizada del siglo XXI. I FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE MAGIA CIUDAD DE ZARAGOZA • MAYO 2021 P. 05 MIGUEL DE LUCAS PRESENTADOR Presentador, comunicador y conferenciante. Miguel es el presentador de "Un país mágico" de TVE, con cinco temporadas a sus espaldas. Excelente comunicador, ilusionista y conferenciante inspirador. Especializado en eventos de empresa. Miguel de Lucas, un apasionado del mundo de la magia, el humor y la comunicación. Profesional desde el año 2000. En todo este tiempo, ha participado en festivales tanto nacionales como internacionales visitando países como Argentina, Bolivia, Cuba, Italia, Alemania, Francia. Ha sido incluido en el TOP 100 de los conferenciantes más influyentes de este país, lista elaborada por Thinking Heads, y habitualmente imparte charlas y conferencias en diferentes países. Una de ellas titulada: “Legados mágicos sostenibles” fue realizada para la prestigiosa marca TEDx. Premio nacional de magia 2019 I FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE MAGIA CIUDAD DE ZARAGOZA • MAYO 2021 P. 06 D'ALBENIZ MANIPULACIÓN El joven D’Albéniz, es un artista multidisciplinar, que mezcla elegancia y magia consiguiendo así, con un estilo muy cuidado, ser avalado por diferentes premios nacionales e internacionales en el difícil arte de la manipulación. Ha mostrado su trabajo autodidacta en países como Alemania, Francia, Inglaterra, China y recientemente participado en el certamen mundial celebrado en Corea del Sur. Destacando la atmósfera que se crea gracias a su puesta en escena e interpretación. Multipremiado, entre ellos Premio FISM europeo 2017 I FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE MAGIA CIUDAD DE ZARAGOZA • MAYO 2021 P. 07 BILLY KIDD MAGIA CÓMICA Billy Kidd es una talentosa maga de Canadá que destaca en todas las areas del ilusionismo. Su técnica y habilidad en magia de cerca, combinada con su experiencia en escenarios y street magic, han permitido a Billy actuar en televisiones y teatros de todo el mundo. En Estados Unidos, Billy compitió en 'Wizard Wars' y despues de poner a los jueces Penn & Teller en pie, de repente, entró a formar parte del programa como maga residente. Billy tambien ha participado en 'Masters of Illusion' en CW Network, 'Making Magic' series en Facebook Watch, 'Sleight of Hand' para Topic TV y en el programa de CBC 'The Science of Magic'. I FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE MAGIA CIUDAD DE ZARAGOZA • MAYO 2021 P. 08 VICTOR MOISEEV MALABARES HORIZONTALES Victor proviene de una dinastía circense de Rusia, donde su padre Alexander Moiseev y su madre Irina Moiseeva, crearon la Barra Rusa. Victor creció viajando y actuando para diferentes variedades y espectáculos. En 2002 se unió al espectáculo del Cirque du Soleil "Alegria" con un acto de malabarismo rotativo en solitario, en el acto “Russian Bars” y como un personaje del espectáculo. En la actualidad es una de las estrellas del espectáculo “Joya”, ha participado en “America’s Got Talent”. Su éxito durante 7 años en el Circo del Sol, lo llevó a actuar en la serie de televisión "Good Morning America" y en la serie de televisión del Cirque du Soleil, "Solstrom". Desde hace diez años, se han embarcado en realizar magia en cruceros para compañias tan punteras como Pullmantour, Romantic, Tallink o NCL. Desde hace tres años, son los protagonistas y artistas residentes en "Elements", la producción de magia más grande del mundo en cruceros. Especialista en magia de cerca y en la compleja y bella numismagia. Imparte conferencias y charlas para magos descubriendo sus secretos, descubrimientos y estudios personales para ilusionistas de todo el mundo. También imparte conferencias de emprendimiento para empresas y universidades. Su palmarés mágico no tiene parangón, ha cosechado premios por todo el mundo, siendo actual Campeón de España de Micromagia, Medalla al mérito en Londres, Premio Nacional de Francia, o Premio Latinoamericano entre otros. Sí, pero ¿Qué han hecho para que los que les ven no vuelvan a ser los mismos? (o para que algunos simplemente no vuelvan). Magia iconoclasta, magia transgresora, magia a contrapelo, magia diferente, pero siempre MAGIA con mayúsculas, de calidad y muy fresca. Ellos son Calamidad y Desastre. Una demostración de ingenio de dos genios. Todo ello mezclado con un humor inteligente para gente inteligente y espontaneidad a raudales (esto último significa que, como siempre, no les ha dado tiempo a ensayar). The spectator’s card is then placed on the top of the pack and the pack is cut. This now means that the spectator’s card is underneath the crimped card. The pack can be passed around the room to be cut several times and the spectator’s card will always be under the crimped card. The pack is then handed back to the magician who quietly puts his thumb under the crimped card appearing to be clumsy and allows the cards above his thumb to fall on the floor. The card under his thumb will be the spectators. The magician can also allow the rest of the cards to fall, leaving only the spectators card in his hand. This trick looks amazing because the audience has seen that the magician has not had a lot of contact with the pack and the whole routine has been totally impromptu.

You can check what I did in these three/six years, with the precious help of the Int. Vice Presidents and the Consultancy Groups, in my triennial report that will be sent to you soon. There is still a lot to do of course and this is why I am asking for the re-election (according to our Statutes for the last period of three years possible,) to accomplish something that is very important to me, since one of the main goals of FISM is to improve Magic and to raise the level of Magicians: - FISM Competition Compliance System (CCS) that will provide rules and services to Associated Societies to better Qualify their Competition and promote them as FISM Compliance Competition. - FISM Jury Qualification System (JQS) selecting and training qualified Judges to assure uniformed and high-quality judging all over the World. - To go on promoting FISM also outside the world of magic (including Academies and Universities). The Fism Board is already working on this matter and the success of the project matters to me. I want to thank you all for the support you gave to me and the Board during these years. It is a great reward for the really hard job we did.
