    2.5. El cine de Ettore Scola Valeriano Durán Manso 2.5.1. Introducción Italia cuenta con una historia del cine muy particular. Es un país en el que siempre ha habido una gran sensibilidad a la hora de contar historias, algo que se ha dado de igual forma en la literatura o en la música. Esta característica permite hablar de una cinematografía con mayúsculas pues el cine italiano es, junto con el americano, el que ha tenido mayor proyección internacional y el que ha dado mayores éxitos en el ámbito europeo a nivel de directores, actores o productores. Como si de Hollywood se tratara, en los años veinte se construyó Cinecittá, una nueva ciudad dentro de Roma equipada para la realización de películas, es decir, para fabricar sueños y este elemento supone un revolución total en el ámbito de la realización en el viejo continente. En un principio, el cine italiano se enfocó mucho a las películas históricas, una etapa que se superó en la década de los treinta, a través de películas como Cabiria (1914), Los últimos días de Pompeya (1925) o Escipión el africano (1937). Con la llegada de la II Guerra Mundial, el cine cambió debido a la concienciación social que los cineastas tomaron tras la contienda y esto supuso una revolución internacional en el ámbito cinematográfico. De esta manera, el Neorrealismo se convirtió en el reflejo de la realidad italiana pues existía una necesidad de narrar lo que ocurría en las familias, en el mundo laboral y, en definitiva, había un gran interés por contar al mundo la situación de Italia tras la guerra.

    RAI CINEMA – INTERVENTO PER LA COMMISSIONE SENATO 02/07/2020 IL CINEMA DOPO L’EMERGENZA Il cinema, parte fondamentali dell’industria culturale italiana, è tra i settori più colpiti dalla crisi scaturita dall’emergenza Covid. I set si sono dovuti fermare per diversi mesi e le sale cinematografiche sono state chiuse. Si parla di centinaia di aziende, oltre 61.000 lavoratori per le sole attività dirette della produzione ed oltre 172.000 all’interno dell’indotto di primo livello. Sono 1218 i cinema che dovranno ripartire al meglio, per un totale di 3542 schermi. Un comparto che, se considerato nella sua interezza (dalla produzione alle industrie tecniche, dalla distribuzione all’esercizio e ai servizi) è in grado di sviluppare un moltiplicatore economico significativo: ogni euro investito sul cinema riesce infatti a generarne almeno altri quattro. Il cinema è parte dell’economia italiana e quando si pensa ad un film, al prodotto finito, bisognerebbe anche far riferimento all’industria, all’occupazione e alla fiscalità che ne derivano. Ogni singolo film porta con sé una piccola economia sostenuta da maestranze e professionalità, tradizionalmente di altissimo livello in Italia. Far partire la produzione di un film significa ingaggiare un set in cui trovano lavoro in media quaranta persone, cinquanta per le produzioni più importanti, che moltiplicati per il numero dei film complessivi, supportati dal servizio pubblico, si traducono in decine di migliaia di unità impiegate nella realizzazione dei film, senza considerare gli sfruttamenti a valle costituiti da moltissime realtà, anche innovative ed emergenti, che vivono grazie all’esistenza del prodotto cinematografico (distribuzione, esercizio, piattaforme online, etc.).

    Sergio Castellitto: un volto per grandi successi Sergio Castellitto è oggi considerato uno dei massimi attori italiani. E' nato a Roma il 18 agosto 1953 da famiglia molisana (il padre era di Campobasso). Ha frequentato l'Accademia nazionale di arte drammatica "Silvio D'Amico" di Roma, dove si è diplomato nel 1978. La sua carriera artistica è cominciata in teatro, dove ha iniziato a recitare testi di Shakespeare, della commedia dell'arte italiana, "Tre sorelle" di Cechov e "Contessa Giulia" di Strindberg, sotto la guida di grandi registi come Luigi Squarzina e Aldo Trionfo. Il debutto cinematografico nel 1982 con il film "Il generale dell'armata morta" di Luciano Tovoli, con Marcello Mastroianni. Quindi: "Il momento magico" (1984) e "Dolce assenza" (1986). I primi grandi successi di critica e di pubblico nel 1986 con "La famiglia" di Ettore Scola, accanto a Vittorio Gassman e Stefania Sandrelli, e con "Sembra morto ma è solo svenuto" di Felice Farina del 1987, collaborando anche al soggetto e alla sceneggiatura. Over the course of the few last years, Italian cinema has become more and more eclectic, able to surprise and renew itself, both in regards of themes and language, while the productions keep making room for new authors, which is a constant stimulus for the spectators and the industry alike. This is why the effort we put into promoting Italian cinema abroad turns into true pleasure.
