Communion Service Information St Nicholas Church will begin weekly Sunday Communion Services on Sunday, May 31, 2020. Please enter at Fellowship Hall doors. Prior to Scripture Readings entering temperatures will be taken and masks For Next Weekend will be given to all in attendance. We will need to Pentecost Sunday limit the amount of people for each service.

§ Bishop Ricken will celebrate a 30 minute Mass each Sunday during the suspension of public attendance and it will be broadcast over the local CBS affiliate, WFRV Local 5 at 10:30 AM. Sunday Mass is also available diocesan-wide via broadcast television on ABC affiliate WBAY at 5:30 AM Sunday morning, and on CW14 at 8:00 AM. Mass is also available on Relevant Radio, 1050 AM at 9 AM. Parishes throughout the diocese are also live-streaming Mass.

Spiritual Communion

Many of us have been participating in televised Mass these weeks and receiving a “spiritual communion.” Jesus promised his friends that he would send the Paraclete, a special friend, the Holy Spirit. We listen today to the words of Saint Luke. He wrote to his dear friend, Theophilus, that the Lord Jesus, before He ascended into heaven, promised that “in a few days you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 1) Pray that we become more and more aware and thankful for the Holy Spirit dwelling within us!
