I returned to our classroom two minutes after the opportuni- ty and began implementing instruction with students. Highlands Elementary third grade teach- er Will Staros shared, “Lori began her les- son with an introduction to the Fab Four and worked it in as a review of the four components. As each student named one of the four she created a graphic organizer on chart paper. This then led into the text, which was slightly diffi cult, but the topic was bears. She modeled the strategies with her costumes and taught the class the hand motions and how to draw pictures to go with her prediction phase. The class created a four door foldable that they recorded their responses in.” 6 Immokalee Bulletin October 18, 2012
