Dall’alto del poggio e’ possibile abbracciare con un solo sguardo la Valle d’Oro. Esso ha all’incirca la forma di un triangolo, la cui base è rappresentata dai terreni impaludati che formano il prolungamento del lago di Burano verso Ansedonia, mentre i lati – piu’ o meno irregolari – sono costituiti da una serie di dolci rilievi collinosi che trovano il loro vertice in direzione del Monte Alzato. La Valle e’ oggi, e doveva essere anche in antico la pianura piu’ fertile dell’immediato retroterra della collina di Ansedonia. Allorquando (nel 273 a. C.) i romani fondarono su quella collina la colonia latina di Cosa, la Valle d’Oro entro’ a far parte del territorio della nuova citta’ e dovette essere divisa in piccoli lotti (probabilmente di un ettaro e mezzo di media) fra i primi coloni. L’indagine archeologica – tutt’ora in corso – ha rilevato tracce di insediamento deferibili al sistema di piccole fattorie unifamiliari che caratterizzo’ la proprieta’ e l’economia agricola del territorio per alcune generazioni fino a una data ancora imprecisata – ma da collocare certamente fra il II e la prima meta’ del I sec.

    Enrichetta Coghi Zetti PUNTA ALA I fatti, le vicende, i personaggi che ne hanno fatto la storia dagli Etruschi ai giorni nostri 1 Enrichetta Coghi Zetti dalla provincia di Mantova, si stabilisce a Firenze nel 1955, dove ha vissuto fino alla fine del 2018. Iscritta all’Albo dei Giornalisti pubblicisti, ha collaborato in via continuativa con la RAI per il Gazzettino Toscano, con «Paese», «Paese Sera» e, occasionalmente, con altri quotidiani. Giunta a Punta Ala nell’estate del 1961 per un servizio giornalistico per conto di «Paese Sera», il 1° Febbraio 1962 accetta l’offerta della Punta Ala S.p.A. di restare con compiti di coordinamento vario e P.R. Può così vivere in prima persona tutte le vicende e gli avvenimenti progettuali, politici ed umani che hanno seguito la trasformazione di Punta Ala dalle sue origini agricole fino alla sua attuale realtà. Sposata con l’arch. Giancarlo Zetti, ha diviso il suo tempo fra le residenze di Punta Ala e Firenze.
