Nominations Opens January 1 • Expanded Course Offerings in Here is a quick checklist to make sure your troop is ready for the Cookie Program. Girl Scout University Is your troop registered? Girls cannot participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program unless they are current members. It’s easy to check girls’ registrations in MyGS Do you have a troop bank account? Cookie Program payments are made via automated clearing house, or ACH, where the council takes payment directly from your troop’s checking account. We will send you balance statements prior to money being collected. Need help with setting up a troop bank account? Give Council Care a call at 800-624-4185. Do you have a troop cookie manager? If not, hold a parent meeting to let them know the business and life skills the girls will learn while doing the sale as well the reward items to be earned, and that the troop and council will also earn proceeds. Ask all the parents to help the troop in some capacity during the sale, each could chaperone a booth, for example. The council also offers a Troop Cookie Manager Guide giving them step- by-step details on how to perform this volunteer role.
