  • Farriers Poverty Bay Farriers Wairarapa Bush Vs Poverty Bay Irarapa Bush
Farriers Wairarapa Bush vs Poverty Bay Saturday 14th September Trust House Memorial Park Message from the Wairarapa Bush President, Bryan Weatherstone On behalf of the Wairarapa Bush Rugby Football Union, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to the players, management and supporters from the Poverty Bay Union to this fourth round match of the 2019 Heartland competition. This week’s game will be an interesting encounter, as only three places separate the two teams after three rounds of the competition. The away game to Poverty Bay last was a close encounter with Wairarapa Bush losing in the last minute. The local boys put on a great display of running rugby last week against King Country to the delight of a large crowd in attendance. Wairarapa Bush looks forward to this week’s game with confidence as they continue to roll out a fully home-grown squad. The home games are a must win on the turf and in front of a home crowd support. Last week, Ties where presented to Jock Cameron, Brent Wilson, and Terongo Tekii for their first game in the Heartland team. Our entire representative teams continue to perform well, last week the Development team had a good win over Horowhenua Kapiti. The Under 11s and Under 14s had wins, while the Under 16 and 18s had narrow losses. On behalf of our Union may I wish everyone an enjoyable day of rugby. Message from the Wairarapa Bush Chairman, Jason Carruthers On behalf of Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union, I would like to welcome you to Trust House Memorial Park for this fourth round match of the Mitre 10 Heartland championship.
