WELCOME Welcome to Rally of Turkey 2010! Are you ready to enjoy unique WRC event, takes place on two different continents? Welcome to Istanbul, the city that brings together East and West, where the history meet natural beauty, the technology meets tradition, the past meets the future and the culture meets the harmony. Having selected as 2010 European Capital of Culture, the Organising Committee decided to move Rally of Turkey from Antalya to Istanbul to contribute the value of both WRC and Istanbul. In its 6th edition, Rally of Turkey, will be unique event of the World Rally Championship calendar, where our guests will enjoy two continents at the same time. ENTRIES 4.1 Titles for which the rally counts - FIA World Rally Championship for Drivers & Co-drivers - FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers - FIA WRC Cup for Teams - FIA Junior World Rally Championship Drivers & Co-drivers - Turkish Rally Championship & Turkish Historic Rally Championship 4.2 Criteria for acceptance of entries Closing date and time for entries: Tuesday, 16 March 2010 at 18:00 Those wishing to take part in the Rally of Turkey 2010 must send the Entry Form duly completed to the organiser before the closing date and time for entries. The entry will only be accepted if accompanied by the total amount of the entry fee. The Supplementary Regulations and Entry form will be published on www.rallyofturkey.org 4.3 Entry Fees Priority Drivers as stipulated by the FIA. Legal Entrants 3.500 + 18% VAT (Car is entered by a team or other legal entity) 5 Private Entrants 2.500 + 18% VAT (Car is entered by the driver or co-driver.) 4.4 Entry Packages Entry package for Manufacturers, Teams and Priority Drivers will be as stipulated by the FIA. SERVICE PARK 5.1 Location During the Rally of Turkey 2010, only one service park will be used. Pendik Service Park, is located on the coast road and its surface is concrete. 5.2 Access The Service Park will be operational from Monday, 12 April 2010 from 12:00hrs with all the facilities and the services. However, access prior to this date is possible, upon contacting Rally Office. For your requests, please fill the form on the web site and contact Rally Office. 5.4 Space Allocation WRC Manufacurers, Teams and P3 drivers will be allocated the area recommended by the FIA. All other drivers will be allocated 6 * 7 meters of space. After the close of entries, each competitors location will be drawn in the sevice park layout, and will be published on the official web site. 6. TWO WAY RADIO TELSAN is responsible for the management of the radio communication during the rally. FUEL 7.1 Priority Drivers The use of FIA fuel is compulsory for all priority drivers. Please refer to WRC Sporting Regulations for the FIA contracted supplier and order procedure. 7.2 Non-Priority Drivers Competitors are entirely responsible for providing and distributing their own fuel during the event. During the event, refuelling may only be carried out in the refuelling zones nominated in the itinerary. 7.3 Refueling Zones Refueling zones are noted in the itinerary of the event. There will be three additional refueling 7 zones. 8. CUSTOMS Please complete fully the Custom Clerance Form on the web site and send it to FORTE, in order to handle custom operations.     Rally Turkey (15 – 18 April 2010) – Presentation Citroën and Loeb out to score a hat trick ! Rally Turkey, which is back on the WRC calendar, has turned over a new leaf with a route laid out near Istanbul. Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena, winners of the event in 2004 and 2005, have but a single aim in mind, a third victory on the trot to increase their lead in the Drivers’ World Championship. The Citroën Total World Rally Team topping the Manufacturers’ classification since Rally Jordan, can also count on Dani Sordo and Marc Marti who are still after their first 2010 finish on the podium. Rally Turkey, which has been on the Rally World Championship calendar five times since 2003, has moved to Kemer near Istanbul for the 2010 event. It will be held mainly on the Asiatic continent with the stages and the service park in the Pendik district grouped together on the peninsula bordered by the Marmara sea, the Bosphorous and the Black Sea. Sébastien Loeb always loves the challenge posed by a new route and Rally Turkey should suit him down to the ground: “I’ve heard that the stages are fairly wide and quick so driving should be great fun. I also know that there are forty kilometres in asphalt on the second day. Obviously, our C4 WRCs will have gravel tyres but we didn’t have too many problems with this combination in Cyprus last year. As it’s a question of mixed stages, we’ll have to find the right rhythm when passing from one surface to the other.” Second in Sweden, victorious in Mexico and Jordan, the six-time world champion already has a 25-point lead over Jari-Matti Latvala, his closest rival, so he’s feeling confident about the fourth round: “Twenty- five points equals a victory.

    2018 MEDIA GUIDE Rallye Deutschland August 16 - 19, 2018 ROUND 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 Rallye Deutschland August 16 - 19, 2018 HYUNDAI’S HELLO Welcome to Rallye Deutschland, Hyundai Motorsport’s home event, which takes place during a very exciting time for the WRC with both title battles finely balanced. Although last month’s Rally Finland didn’t produce the ultimate result for our team, Hayden finished just outside the podium places after a strong drive. Thierry and Nicolas continue to lead the Drivers’ championship with an advantage of 21 points, while the Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team heads the Manufacturers’ championship by 26 points so there’s plenty of reason to be positive. I must also congratulate our HMDP crew of Jari and Antti for recording their first WRC2 podium of the year with second in that class. Rallye Deutschland is the first tarmac event on the calendar since Tour de Corse in April. Since then we’ve worked on improving the suspension, especially the dampers, and centre differential mapping with two aims in mind: to achieve more grip for the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC and find a better balance. This follows feedback from our drivers during Corsica where they reported being hampered by understeer. Our three drivers for Germany – Thierry, Dani and Andreas – have all sampled the changes during development testing and they also got the opportunity to finalise their set-ups during the recent pre-event test, which took place over five days so we could experience the vineyard roads and those within the Baumholder military range, which are very specific to this rally.

It is 15 years since a drivers’ title fight of similar magnitude and a compelling season-long battle involving three drivers was finally resolved on the last morning of the season in Australia. It was a similar story in the manufacturers’ championship. All four teams won rallies and three made the long journey Down Under still with an opportunity to claim the crown. Following a similarly enthralling and unpredictable 2017 cam- paign, when new-era World Rally Cars headlined a raft of major changes to the championship, it is clear our sport is in the midst of an unforgettable period in its history. Away from the close competition, the WRC has grown in stature. The year opened with a major launch at Birmingham’s Autosport International show and finished with a glamorous end of season gala in Sydney and with the cars showcased once more in front of Milan’s iconic cathedral in the Piazza del Duomo. Our pioneering WRC+ All Live channel revolutionised the way in which fans could enjoy the sport as it happened. Every special stage from each round was streamed live, featuring stunning onboard and helicopter footage. It was supplemented by expert analysis and reactions from across the service park – adding up to more than 325 hours of live coverage. Our traditional TV coverage thrived too. The WRC’s global audi- ence and the number of broadcast hours continue their positive trend of the last years.

Hayden and Seb’s first podium of the season in Turkey on the last round was a nice moment and a plus following a measured and intelligent drive, but we know we missed out on so much more. Because of that, there has been a shift in the championship battle and we need to bounce back and do so quickly. We will aim to do just that in Wales. Thierry and Nicolas led in Turkey and showed that the pace of our Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC was strong on the very rough stages we found there. The points they scored for winning the Power Stage after an impressive performance showed what might have been and could yet have a crucial bearing in the final championship reckoning. It is unfortunate that Turkey didn’t go to plan for Hyundai Motorsport, but we have to accept the situation and come back fighting; it is what rallying is all about. The positive things are clear: we have a good car, good drivers, Thierry and Nicolas still lead the championship and were competitive on Rally GB last year. Like Thierry and Nicolas, Andreas and Anders also led in Turkey. Andreas spent much of his early career in Wales and has a good knowledge of the terrain and what he needs to do to be quick.

While Turkey is no stranger to the WRC, the event’s new home in Marmaris means an untried route for all manufacturer drivers and teams. And with the battle for both titles at a crucial stage with four rallies remaining, we can expect a very open and action-packed event in what is an important market for Hyundai: car production – including the road-going i20 – at its Izmit plant is 205,000 units per year. I was pleased that we were able to secure a podium result at our home rally in Germany last month. It means Thierry and Nicolas were able to increase their lead of the Drivers’ championship to 23 points, while Hyundai’s advantage over Toyota in the Manufacturers’ championship is 13 points. It was an eventful final morning in Germany, which unfortunately included a retirement for Dani and Carlos, ending their own podium charge. It was a pity for them after a strong weekend. They had the confidence and the speed, and we know they’ll take the positives ahead of their home rally in Spain next month. Thierry and Nicolas were there to pick up the position following Dani’s retirement with Andreas and Anders also moving up to sixth place. For Turkey, we welcome Hayden and Seb back to the team and we look forward to counting on their past performances and experience on gravel to boost our championship hopes on this event.

Having fought so hard for both the Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ titles in 2018, the winter break not only provided an opportunity to recharge our batteries, it was also a great chance to assess how we could be stronger during the season ahead. We therefore begin 2019 rejuvenated and with a firm battle plan in place. Being appointed Team Director of Hyundai Motorsport is a completely new challenge for me and a step forward from what I’ve done so far, which gives me even more motivation to work together with the team to reach our goals. Our objectives for WRC remain the same as they have always been, namely to fight for the Manufacturers’ and Drivers’ titles. This is important for Hyundai and our N brand. The WRC is incredibly competitive and the other teams will want to approach the new season with the same winning mind-set. We have to make sure we’re delivering and performing at our best at all times. In my new role, it is a real privilege to welcome Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena to the Hyundai Motorsport family. Nine-time world champions, they will contest six rounds with our team, starting on Rallye Monte-Carlo, an event they have won a record seven times.
