Healthy Living Event in Wrexham Plas Madoc’s fi rst Healthy Living Day was held at the Opportunity Centre just before the end of last term. 13 agencies in total attended the event, where around 100 people of all ages got advice, information and freebies. The aim of the day was to support people living in Plas Madoc and surrounding areas to fi nd out how they can lead healthy lifestyles, both physically and emotionally.

Nicola and Michelle’s passion for the club and the children that attend is quite apparent. We are currently working on the CSSIW registration documents and their enthusiasm still hasn’t diminished!

There is a very happy and relaxed atmosphere in the club and the food that the children are given is always varied and very appealing! They tuck into crudités and a chocolate dip with fruit! Both Nicola and Michelle put a lot of effort into every aspect of the club and I am sure that Acorns to Oaks will continue to be a big success.

What you do 1. Cut out an egg box segment to create the body for the Egg Head. 2. Cut a hole in the top of the egg box segment for your egg to sit in. 3. Paint a face onto the egg shell. 4. Cover the egg box segment (body) with pieces of material to clothe your egg head. 5. Make hair using wool and glue it on to the top of your egg. Add ribbon or make a hat! Alternatively, you could paint then decorate with beads and jewels to make your very own Faberge egg. Blow Away Art What you need: Twigs Leaves Seeds Flowers Any other natural item already detached from trees and plants What you do: 1. Find a space away from the path, and create a picture or pattern on the ground using the things you’ve found. 2. Show your friends what you have made and look at their creations. 3. Enjoy your art before it blows away in the wind!
