ANOTHER CHALLENGE LEADS TO ANOTHER RUN--For the second time in as many challenges, the Royals turned a replay review into a run, as Jarrod Dyson’s initially ruled sacrifice bunt turned into a base hit during the 7-run second inning...after a 2:17 review it was determined he was safe with a bunt hit and he later scored in the frame...KC also plated a run on Sunday in Chicago after Mike Moustakas was ruled safe at second via replay...last night’s challenge triumph gave Kansas City an 12-6 mark in reviews, including six of the last seven and 11 of the last 15...opposing managers haven’t been nearly as successful, going 7-11 to date. RISP REWARD--The Royals continue to record video game numbers when hitting with runners in scoring position during their recent run of success...in the first five games of this road trip, all wins, Kansas City has batted .450 in RISP situations (27-for-60) with 34 RBI...during the 9-game winning streak, KC has hit at a .441 clip is those situations (41-for-93) with 52 runs knocked in and dating back to May 30, when this 14-4 stretch began, Kansas City is leading the Majors in batting with runners in scoring position with a .371 mark (66-for-178)...the upward tick in clutch hitting has put the Royals second overall in the A.L. with a .278 RISP average.
