Introduction This Document Provides a Set of Thematic Maps on The Census Atlas: Economic Activity Introduction This document provides a set of thematic maps on the economic activity of residents by estate and settlement in Milton Keynes from 2011 Census data. You can download the tables of data used in the maps via the MKi Observatory using the link below: • Economic Activity – Estates and Settlements Methodology These maps were created by the Research and Intelligence team at Milton Keynes Council based on 2011 Census data published by the Office for National Statistics. The 2011 Census data was not released at estate level. The Research and Intelligence team at Milton Keynes Council therefore added together Output Area (the smallest census geography) data to provide an estimate at estate level. As Output Areas (OAs) boundaries and estate boundaries do not always match, the data for OAs is weighted to estates. The data in the maps should therefore be seen as estimates based on 2011 Census data rather than actual figures. Full information on the methodology used to estimates the data at estate level can be viewed here: http://www.mkiobservatory.org.uk/document.aspx?id=10215&siteID=1026 Further Information Further information, data and analysis on the 2011 Census can be viewed on the MKi Observatory via the link below: http://www.mkiobservatory.org.uk/page.aspx?id=1924&siteID=1026 Email: [email protected] Tel: 01908 254257 2011 Census Atlas: Economic Activity Map 1: % aged 16-74 who are Economically Active Warrington Lavendon Olney Cold Br ay field Weston Underwood Newton Blossomville C lifton Ravenstone Reynes Stok e Goldington Ember ton Hardmead Tyringham & Filgrave Hanslope Astwood Chicheley Sherington Gayhurst Lathbury North Crawley Castlethorpe Newport Haversham/Little Linford Pagnell Redhouse Park G i f f a Blakelands r Oakridge d Par k P Great a r Old Linford k Wolverton Tongwell Mouls oe New Bradwell Stantonbury Bolbeck Park Wolverton Mill Pennyland W Stonebridge il Willen Pineham Neath le Bradville n Wolverton Blue Bridge Hill Downhead P a Brook Stony Linford r Par k k Furlong Stratford Banc r oft Wood Downs F Par k ft o B o x ro Galley cr Bar n o Greenleys n M Northfield Stacey Ba Heelands Newlands kla Hill i n Willen l d Fullers Bus hes n Broughton & s E Hodge Lea Conniburrow Lake e EA Slade Br Campbell Atter bur y W ad Br adw ell es w Par k Br oughton t Kiln el W ern l A Bradwell Calve W b o Middleton/Milton Gate Farm b o E y e Common x y l pa m s s Keynes Village r n b e t to si on u yn o n P s n h Ke Springfield a Ar Two Mile Ash Rooksley n e Oakgrove ris lto h ea i / Loughton l M Kings ton ra t P Lodge en Fishermead Monkston C e a Monkston Great Holm r t r Par k e Calverton e Woughton-on- Wavendon Western Expansion Oldbrook B the- Gr een Br ink low Loughton r Ar ea/SC E Paris h i ll d Kents a Eaglestoneg Crownhill Winterhill nh e Hill de Walton ea Knowlhill L Hall Wavendon Shenley Coffee Woughton Gate Grange Farm Church Par k B Hall N ether field End T le h a Tinkers Walnut e E k Walton Hazeley B lf H Old Medbourne o i a Br idge Tree Shenley w e ll Woburn l ld Beanhill Farm Oakhill Lodge P Br ow ns Sands Shenley a Par k r Ashland Simps on Wood Wood k Redmoor West Walton Woodhill As hland Par k Shenley Furzton GranbyDenbigh Tilbrook Brook Mount North Oxley Park End Farm C aldec otte Emerson Wes tc r oft Valley Denbigh Denbigh West West Eas t Bletc hley Bow Brickhill Kingsmead Tattenhoe Central % Economically Active Far Bletc hley Fenny Bletc hley Stratford 80.7 to 88.5 (28) Tattenhoe Par k Brickfields Little 74.8 to 80.7 (38) Brickhill Water 69.8 to 74.8 (31) Newton Leys Eaton 54.6 to 69.8 (19) No population (35) Newly developed areas tend to have the highest percentage of economically active residents. Haversham-cum-Little Linford Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group and Haversham-cum-Little-Linford Parish Council have been working for a considerable time to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan for the Parish. We have been assisted in this by Oneill Homer, a leading consultancy who have assisted Parish and Town Councils around the country to produce well over 100 Neighbourhood Plans, including several in Milton Keynes. The cost of this consultancy work has been paid for by a government grant. What is a Neighbourhood Plan? A document that sets out planning policies for the neighbourhood area – planning policies are used to decide whether to approve planning applications. Written by the local community, the people who know and love the area, rather than the Local Planning Authority. A powerful tool to ensure the community gets the right types of development, in the right place. What is this document for? We had hoped to hold a public meeting / exhibition to discuss the significant work undertaken so far and find out YOUR views of our policy intents and the potential development sites offered by landowners.
