3 The Process for the Selection of Phase 2 Areas
Step 1: Identify best candidates for interventions based on comparative need, as identified by available data and known opportunities
Step 2: Consultation to focus on – Quantitative measures of deprivation – Qualitative measures of deprivation – Assessment of the current capacity/structures to enable and support delivery – Identification of any existing development plans within neighbourhoods providing an opportunity for regeneration – Assessment of fit with wider Council strategy and other relevant projects
Step 3: Review consultation responses and make recommendations based on data and feedback received
Step 4: Cabinet paper 22nd June
10
What Do You Think?
For the five identified neighbourhoods :
• Which two of the five should be the highest priority?
• Is there any additional data that is relevant which should be considered?
• Is there any local feedback which should be considered?
• What existing initiatives are happening/planned in the neighbourhood which could be tied into regeneration activity in the future?
• What active community groups are there in existence that could enable/support delivery?
• What is the capacity of the parish to enable/support delivery?
• Are there any opportunities for major change e.g. planned development?
For other neighbourhoods:
• Are there other neighbourhoods beyond the proposed list that you believe are stronger candidates for phase 2?
