Keys were most R/P (employee for business) arrived at 3:30am. He 3:45pm ( Commercial - Bagels) likely used to discovered that the front door was unlocked. To: 03/08/2020 enter business. The manager for store arrived on scene and entered 3:30pm the business. She found the safe was open in the back and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the safe. There were no signs of forced entry on the front door or the safe. The manager advises that several employees have keys for business and know the combination for the safe. There are surveillance cameras at the business but they were not available at time of report.

From: 03/06/2020 21000 Melrose Ave. No forced entry. R/P states he came into business on Sunday to pick up 6:00pm ( Commercial - Office) some equipment and noticed that several items were To: 03/08/2020 missing from the business. There were no signs of any 3:00pm forced entry. Suspect(s); Unknown, possibly cleaning crew. Taken; Appliances from the kitchen, computer monitors, flat screen televisions, and possibly materials from the shop area. Time Frame: Friday 03/06/2020, close of business 6:00pm- to the time of report 03/08/2020 at approx. 3:00pm.

Home Invasion:

Entry through Several Officers were dispatched to MDOP that just 10:49am unlocked door. occurred at Golf Course in the 23000 Block of Lahser Rd. One of the suspects that was seen by employees was a light skinned black male wearing a black coat with a red hoodie underneath, blue jeans and a black backpack. Last seen running towards 9 Mile Rd. While searching the area for suspects a citizen approached Officers stating he was leaving his residence and saw a guy in dark clothing run behind his house. Officers responded and found the door from the garage to the home open. The citizen advised he had just closed the door. K-9 Officer found suspect on the second floor of the home hiding. The suspect stated he was hiding from someone who was talking to him by the Golf Course. Didn’t explain why he had to run from this person? The suspects clothing matched the description of one of the suspects involved in MDOP at the golf course. Officers performed a pat down of suspect and found two knives on his person. Both knives were confiscated and later placed into property. Golf Course employees positively identified subject as one of the suspects involved in MDOP. Suspect was arrested for Entering w/o Permission of citizens residence in the 23000 Block of W. 9 Mile Rd. The MDOP is under further investigation.

03/07/2020 18000 Westover Ave Front door was Officers were dispatched to the 18000 Block of 2:28am kicked in. Westover for a domestic complaint. Information was given that the suspect (wife) arrived at her husband’s house and kicked the front door in. The wife is still on scene. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to both parties involved. The R/P (male) stated that he is in the process of a divorce with suspect and they have been separated for 3 years. The suspect has never stayed at the residence which is owned by R/P’s uncle. The suspect forced her way into the residence by kicking the front door in and confronted R/P while he was sleeping. She confronted R/P about another woman. R/P stated nothing physical happened but he escorted her out of the house. R/P states he got a PPO against his wife and would like Officers to serve her. The female told Officers that the front door was unlocked and she walked into the residence to confront R/P about another woman. She doesn’t know how the door frame and deadbolt were damaged? Officers attempted to contact the homeowner to no avail. The R/P stated he didn’t wish to prosecute. The female suspect was served PPO and RPI’d.

03/08/2020 28000 Franklin River Dr. Forced Apartment Officers were dispatched to the 28000 Block of 3:46pm (Apartments) Door open. Franklin River Dr. for a report of a suspicious person in the hallway trying to force themselves into the R/P's apartment. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the R/P. >>>>>>>>>>>>> R/P stated her neighbor knocked on her door and Citizens should covered the peep hole so she could not see who was never open their at the door. Status 03/05/2020 24000 Evergreen Rd. RS – Recovered Stolen On 03/05/2020 at 10:30am, Southfield Officers 10:29am Manufacturer and Detectives were informed that an unknown CHEVROLET Model male will be attempting to sell a Stolen Chevrolet SILVERADO Color Silverado to an Undercover Officer in the parking Vehicle Year 2005 lot of business in the 24000 Block of Evergreen Body Style State MI Rd. At 12:45pm, Officers observed the stolen License Year vehicle pull into the parking lot and park. 2020 Description Officers boxed the vehicle in w/o incident and Stolen Silverado (No Plate) the driver was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody for receiving and concealing a stolen vehicle. He was transported to the Southfield Jail and lodged.

Status 03/05/2020 25000 Telegraph Rd. S - Stolen A Southfield Police Evidence Technician was 8:42am (Vacant Restaurant) Description dispatched to the 25000 Block of Telegraph Rd. Alarm/Cameras/Motion Detectors/thermostats, Tin Metal The building is currently vacant. Off the Interior Walls, Copper R/P Is an Employee and Representative of the Pipes former restaurant. R/P advises that the franchisee hired an auction company to auction off all his equipment in the restaurant. The franchisee owned the cooking equipment such as smokers, grills, etc. R/P advises that the franchisee removed more items from the restaurant than what belonged to him; Including such items as the alarm system; cameras, motion detectors, thermostats, exit signs, tin metal off the walls & copper pipe had been cut out of the back room including up in the ceiling. Suspect has been identified. (Possibly a Civil Matter.)

Status 03/03/2020 21000 Hilltop St. A - Attacked R/P reported that two of his vehicles were 5:30pm (Multi Industrial) Manufacturer broken into during an unknown time frame. FORD Model Both of victims Ford Econoline Vans were parked ECONOLINE WAGON Color in the parking lot in the 21000 Block of Hilltop St. Vehicle Year 2007 Both vehicles had damage to the door handles Body Style State MI and locks. Status From: 03/03/2020 20000 Charlton Sq. S – Stolen Owner came into the front desk to report 8:30pm ( Apartm ent Complex) Description someone stole her catalytic converter from her Catalytic Converter was Taken To: 03/04/2020 from 2007 Ford 2007 Ford. The incident occurred at victims 7:30am (Unknown Model) Apartment Complex sometime between 8:30pm and the following morning at 7:30am. No suspect information.

Status 03/05/2020 24000 Lahser Rd. S - Stolen On 03/06/2020 Southfield Police School Resource 8:02pm (High School) Description Officer was advised by Principal at the school Credit Card that a teacher had her credit card information taken by a student. Information was gathered that the student had gone through the teachers purse and took several photo’s, front and back of the teacher’s credit card. Later the same day the teacher received a call from her credit card company regarding several charges to her account that were suspected of being fraudulent. Witnesses stated that the student was bragging about she had taken the teachers credit card information and had used it to make several purchases. The student was identified and was interviewed by school administration. The student made admissions to taking the teachers credit card information. The student was identified and incident is under investigation.

Special Attention: CCW/ DWLS- 1- Arrest Armed Robbery/ Shots Fired 03/02/2020 4:22pm (Party Store) Northland Dr. & Greenfield Rd. 19000 Block of W. 10 Mile Rd. Officers were driving south on Greenfield Rd, south of Nine Mile Rd when they observed a Chevy Cobalt with a temporary license plate. 01/23/2020 7:30pm After running the plate in LEIN, it came back no record. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the driver. The suspect is described as a black male, possibly 20-30 years old, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans. The suspect has a tattoo on his right hand.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000.00 reward if credible information is received that leads to the apprehension of the suspect. A&B Police Officer, A&B on 2- Faculty/ Administrators and Disorderly Conduct- 1- Arrest 03/03/2020 9:51am 24000 Block of Lahser Rd (High School) On 03/03/2020 at approx. 9:10am Southfield Police Resource Officer was notified via school radio that a teacher needed assistance with a student in her classroom. It was later learned that the student was causing a disturbance in the hallway, threatened and assaulted a teacher. The student was located and escorted to the main office. A second Liaison Officer also made the school to assist the other Officer. When the original Officer on scene went to speak with the teacher the student became upset because Administration was going to suspend the student. The student started swearing at administrators causing a School Disturbance and attempted to leave the office. He physically knocked one of the administrators out of the way to flee the office. The second Officer, now on scene intervened and attempted to stop the student. The student stated, “I’m not afraid of the Police” and attempted to assault to wit “punch” Officer with his fist. Officer attempted to secure the student and was injured during this exchange to wit his wrist was cut and bleeding when attempting to hand cuff the student. The first Officer on scene returned to the Office and Officers took the student into custody for A&B Police Officer, A&B on two faculty/ administrators and Disorderly Conduct. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician took photos of Officers injury. The student was taken to Children’s Village and his parents were notified.

Possession of Crack Cocaine- 1- Arrest 03/04/2020 8:05pm Evergreen Rd. & E/B I-696 Officers were on routine patrol when they conducted a Lein Check on a Gray Cadillac CTS. The plate returned 'no record on computer'. After stopping the vehicle. There were two occupants in the vehicle. During Officers investigation, it was discovered that the female passenger had stuffed a crack pipe and a small bottle down the front of her pants. Officers also observed suspected white powder associated with the passenger’s wallet which she had placed on the dash of the vehicle. Further investigation by Officers led to the recovery of suspected cocaine inside the wallet. The suspected powder was Field Tested by a Southfield Police Evidence Technician and the result was positive for possible presence of Cocaine. The passenger was taken into custody for Possession of Cocaine.

Indecent Exposure- 1- Arrest 03/05/2020 2:13pm 24000 Northwestern Hwy Apt #: 150 (Commercial- Office) Officers were dispatched to business on a report of a male inside the lobby masturbating. Upon arrival, Officers observed a B/M matching the description walking away from the location. Officers stopped and identified him as the subject in question. Officers interviewed witnesses, probable cause was established and the suspect was taken into custody. The suspect is a registered sex offender, and non-compliant. He was taken into custody for Indecent Exposure.

Domestic Assault- 1- Arrest 03/05/2020 1:33pm 27000 Northwestern Hwy Room #: 115 (Hotel) Officers responded to Domestic Assault at Hotel in the 27000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. It was reported that the female half attempted to stab the male half and fled to another nearby hotel. Officers located and spoke to the male half. The male half provided video of the female lunging at him attempting to stab him. The male wasn’t hurt but there was a 3-4” cut in his jacket from the knife. Additional Officers located the female half at the hotel just around the corner from where the incident occurred. Officers interviewed the female and she consented to a search of her person and property. Officers located a knife in the female’s black leather purse. The knife was confiscated and after completing their investigation probable cause was established and the female was taken into custody for Domestic F/A.
